Carlsbad Caverns is the primary attraction that brought me to southern New Mexico, aside from being kidnapped by aliens and taken to Roswell. The formations within the cave are enormous and demonstrate growth over at least hundreds of thousands of years. Entry to the cavern...More

The Carlsbad Caverns main cave chambers are best exploring by walking down and taking the elevator back up. You can take your time on the well marked trails and there are areas along the way to “park” on the side of the main path so...More

My hubby is 65 and I am 62. We're both in pretty good shape, although we really didn't do much this winter to stay that way. That said, we walked down to the Big Room (1.25 mile), walked around the Big Room (another 1.25 mile),...More

The path is smooth but narrow. You may have to call the Caverns and find out. Not much I can help but better leave it to the pros. It is a JAW-DROPPING MUST SEE! Good luck and have fun!

Sorry I don’t know. The best way to find out is to call. But don’t miss it. It’s spectacular! Good luck and travel safe!
