It's been years since we visited this beautiful cave and it's even more beautiful now though it's a much more commercial operation than 30 years ago. We took the elevators down to the entrance though you could walk in and out but lots of steps...More

The elevators are a great addition and clearly open the caves up to more visitors and less crowded trails. The visitor center is full service and the rangers were tremendous with the Junior Rangers!

There are two ways to get down into the cave- an elevator and a trail. We decided to be adventurous. We took the trail. It was a little longer than we expected to get down to the big room but it really added to the...More

I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with kids, unless they want someone to be rude to them when they arrive. The Park Rangers have to understand that their facility is in the middle of nowhere and there is absolutely nothing close to eat so children arriving...More

Our 7&8yo had no problem with the trek in and around the big room. We all had the self guided tour, took breaks as needed. We really enjoyed our time, and felt that there would be less appreciation if we took the elevator down. There...More

My 18yo son and I were making a quick stop on our road trip. We entered through the Natural Entrance and walked the entire Big Room. We are both athletic and enjoyed a speedy tour. The walk down was very steep and long. We passed...More

We tried to time our trip to where we would hike the caves then see the Bat Flight program without much down time in between. We got to the Visitor Center around 3:30 but after it was all said and done, we should have gotten...More

I remember coming here as a child and was so excited to have a chance to bring my own kids (4 and 6 years old). We got in super early and there were no lines at all, which was nice. The visitor center itself is...More

Yes and I would bring the wheelchair. They have a elevator you can use to go down and back up to the Big room area. It is too steep to walk down and takes about an hour. You will enjoy it. While your there the restaurant in... More

I wasn't aware of those tours. We did the complete walking tour. You enter from the outside and see parts of the cave that those who take the elevator do not. We thought that was the best.
