We arrived early June on a lovely sunny Tuesday, but with plenty of snow still around, so much that the East Rim road was not yet open. However the West Rim road provided plenty of stunning views of the mirror calm lake. We would loved...More

We stopped at every viewpoint. During our stay part of the rim drive was closed but we got beautiful views from where we could drive.

The first time you see the lake, it takes your breath away. Unbelievable blue color. I wish they would prohibit any hikes down to the water because we want this to remain pristine.

This was our first experience at this park. My feelings upon seeing the lake was like the first time at the Grand Canyon or seeing the Yosemite Valley--wow. Neither words nor pictures do it justice. Go see it and simply wonder.

Alhough we couldn't drive the ring road, still top of the bill. Trick is to walk as far as you can get in the snow

I was there in September, and there was about 6" of snow on the ground, temps in the low 30's. The snow made it even more beautiful!!
