Short trail sure gives you a good idea of the Everglades. Popular with school groups. The 6 bus loads did break the peaceful serenity up. The kids were all well supervised.

We decided to visit later in the afternoon to avoid larger crowds. Unfortunately, we avoided a lot of the birds too but we understand that you can't predict wildlife. We were only able to see 2 birds and one live gator. It is a very beautiful place but as soon as it cools down the mosquitos are out even in... More

No mosquitos in November. A short trail through great nature. Cost of 20 dollars to visit the place for a car. It took 2 hours to walk through the trails. We visit it at 5 pm and almost no people. We saw only 1 gator but still a good place to watch the nature of the everglades.

I made a mistake going to this place in only one afternoon. The place is amazing but it can take up to 2 days to see it all. You can even camp there. I highly recommend going to this park if you like the wilderness but go in the morning, take something to eat with you and spend the entire... More

I love the Everglades, and this easy trail let's you experience a part of it. It's paved and good for all ages. Every time I go, I see gators, but it's best to go at the peak gator season.

Anhinga Trail is an easy walk on a paved path and boardwalk. At the end of the paved portion is a small observation platform. During the dry season I have seen more than two dozen gators in this area. The canal along the paved path is a good place for the local birds during the dry season. During the wet... More

Anhinga Trail is usually my favorite place to visit in Everglades National Park. I have always found it to have the richest and most abundant variety of wildlife. Unfortunately today we were shocked to see that the entire boardwalk trail was closed and under construction. A careless fellow on a bulldozer was racing by just feet from walking guests. We... It was super hot. Don't forget the bug spray. We saw a huge alligator within the first 2 minutes. It was a beautiful animal that seemed to enjoy showing off.

We looked at the trip advisors comments and found out that this trail was the first one appearing in the list, even though some people mentioned that it was closed in summer 2016 due to construction. Then we asked one of the Rangers of the information Center for advice, who sent us to this trail. That is why we decided... More

The Anhinga Trail does not take much effort to walk through, but is full of great wildlife and gives you an elevated view of the Everglades. Pros: - Great wildlife (birds, gators, turtles, etc) - Easy walk Cons: - Easy walk (If you are looking for something more challenging) - Busy
