Went to Everglades National Park with my friends this weekend to go on the canoe trip to Snake Bight! Absolutely AMAZING! We saw hundreds of birds, shorebirds, American white pelicans, and even WILD Flamingo's! Dolphins, Crocodiles, Manatees, and fish! Canoeing through beautiful Mangroves and listening...More

We had little problem with mosquitoes while in the everglades except for this trail. A 2-minute shower preceded our visit and must have somehow made the zillion mosquitoes emerge. We had spray and netting and it was still miserable. I turned back early with my...More

The bugs were excited that we decided to walk the trail. They did not have to go far for lunch! We were not afraid, we were birdwatching, on the hunt for the Mangrove Cuckoo, no luck! But we did get catbird, Cardinal, common yellow throat...More

This trail was too buggy to walk on. We started and turned around almost immediately and headed back. The ranger also admitted to me there really isn't much to see at the end of the trail

If you're going to check out this part of the park, take a boat. My wife and I tried walking the trail and didn't last 20 minutes before we turned back. The mosquitoes are vicious! The 20 minutes we did walk our arms were constantly...More
