If you can only go to the Shark Valley entrance to Everglades National park, I would recommend skipping this tour. We did not have a chance to go to the main part of the park where you can drive deep into the everglades, and thought we would get a taste of the park at Shark Valley. We were greeted with... More

We rented bikes for the 15 mile ride to the tower and back (at $9 per hour per bike). Thank goodness the Everglades is super flat. The tram is also great I hear. Awesome way to see nature, over 50 gators alone. Wonderful time of year to visit. I went on the same ride in July and almost had a... More

Shark Valley has nothing to do with Sharks, but is one of the Everglades National Park's main stops. They have a 7-mile paved road going into, and back out of the Everglades. You'll see birds, and plenty of alligators, plus Everglades scenery.

The most unusual bike trip EVER! I was watching the gators to the right of me, turned a corner and almost smacked into a great blue heron taller the me. The paths are great and the wildlife is just amazing. I want to do this ride many many times. We stayed in our Rv at Collier 'Seminole park and also... More

It’s a $25 per vehicle entry fee that gives you a week access to Everglades N.P.. It is an easy 15 mile loop to bike. I’m not sure how I’d feel about walking by the alligators on or just off the path (5-6 feet). There was one large and several medium sized alligators out when we went by. Also a... More

Really worthy to see. You can meet aligatora, wild birds, turtles. The entries for car is 25$. Then you have 3 options: walk (5-6 hours), take a bike (9$/hr/bike, takes 2-3 hours) or tram (24$/person, takes 2 hours). Bike is best option. Be careful with sun...

My second time here.. now not as hot as September, but less baby alligators with their mother. If you are over 60 are entitled for a free National pass.. so do not pay. Ask on the entrance.. not sure if they process the card there. Dont miss the train tour.. its like us24 but you drive around for 2 hours..... More

This is an expensive visit, the entrance fee per vehicle is $25. If you bring your own bikes then the trail is pretty enjoyable. To hire the Parks bikes is pretty expensive. The tram is also $20+ dollars a person. Further towards Naples is Fakahatchee Strand where the only price is a donation. There we saw alligators, snakes, osprey, turtles... More

We were travelling up from the Keys to Naples and decided to pull in for a break and to see the centre as I had read in the tourist books it was a must. I admit to not reading the review in more detail as I was surprised by the 25$ entrance, however on paying I was told the next... More
