We spent half a day doing the drive from Coe Visitor Center to Flamingo. There were easy 1/2 mile trails to walk along the way. Make sure to bring bug spray because the mosquitoes increased exponentially the further south you do. Otherwise, it is a lovely park to visit.

My boyfriend and I were almost leaving Florida and decided to stop by the Ernest Coe visitors center since we loved the everglades trip we took a couple of days before. It was a cool experience but we didn't get to see much of the wildlife plus there was a pretty big rainstorm coming and we had to cut it... More

On your first visit to Everglades National Park you should stop at this visitor center. It is a great place to get an overview of the park and its inhabitants. The ranger are very knowledgable and friendly.

Great visitor centers as most are in the USA. Very interesting and precise informations provided by the Rangers. You can also buy some mosquitos repellant that are required to visit the park.

This was our first stop before we started our tour of Everglades National Park! Good information and of course a map too. It also is a good time to apply sunscreen and bug spray.

The visitor center is located just before the paid entry of the Everglades national park. The rangers are friendly, the exhibition is useful to get some basic knowledge about the area but does not supplying depth stuff I am generally looking for. The store has some ok priced last minute supplies. That might come in handy because the park is... More

In my opinion, the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center is a must see for anyone visiting Everglades National Park. You can view the beautiful interactive displays, and become familiar with the Everglades, thus building up excitement before you enter and see the real thing. It is air conditioned which is a plus. Around the vicinity of the visitor center we... More

The centre is easy to find , has lots of parking and the staff are very helpful and informative . There are great educational displays both inside the centre and outside on the approach as well as restrooms and a statue of a Florida panther for photo ops. Worth calling in to get your bearings and recommendations of areas for... More

Clean bathrooms and facility. Very helpful workers. A beautiful porch area offers rocking chairs for a peaceful view of the slough. There's a little museum walk through teaching you about the everglades. Make sure the kids get their junior ranger books!
