This visitor center is a pleasure to visit. The staff was very helpful showing us maps and giving us ideas and information about what to see in the park. A staff member in the gift shop even called another gift shop to see if they had an item we were looking for which had sold out. The visitors center is... More

really great education center. You almost don't need to go into the park. The Coe Visitor center was the best part of our entire trip to the Everglades.

This visitor center is right outside the Florida City entrance to the park. You can stop on your way in to plan your visit. It's a beautiful facility with incredible displays and an educational film. You can get stamps for your passport and make a stop in the small but very nice gift shop for some souvenirs.

This was very educational and had some interesting art work. There is a back patio overlooking a lake to get you in the mood since you just learned about how important water is the Everglades. Also, the shop was nice, bathrooms clean, and there was wifi.

We spent half a day doing the drive from Coe Visitor Center to Flamingo. There were easy 1/2 mile trails to walk along the way. Make sure to bring bug spray because the mosquitoes increased exponentially the further south you do. Otherwise, it is a lovely park to visit.

My boyfriend and I were almost leaving Florida and decided to stop by the Ernest Coe visitors center since we loved the everglades trip we took a couple of days before. It was a cool experience but we didn't get to see much of the wildlife plus there was a pretty big rainstorm coming and we had to cut it... More

On your first visit to Everglades National Park you should stop at this visitor center. It is a great place to get an overview of the park and its inhabitants. The ranger are very knowledgable and friendly.

Great visitor centers as most are in the USA. Very interesting and precise informations provided by the Rangers. You can also buy some mosquitos repellant that are required to visit the park.
