There are several visitor centers but this one was close to our RV park in Homestead, Fl. They were very friendly and helpful, gave us a map and marked points of interest. Just 2 miles from here is Royal Palm. This is a great place to see many many alligator and birds. There is a boardwalk so it's an easy... More

Why are there no trash cans, very weird. Most people simply toss their garbage out the window in the parking area or throw it into swampy looking spots. Cigarette butts just blow around courtesy of the wind. On a positive note, the museum / interpretive area inside does an excellent job of providing a glimpse of the everglades. And the... More

Right at the entrance to the park, this visitor center is a good place to plan your visit. Everglades requires a little more planning than some parks, but it's worth it when you put the effort in.

You need to stop here even if just for a short time. It will give you a layout of the park and recommendation. Interesting exhibits are there as well as maps.

This Visitor Center was for us something like an entrance point to Everglades national park. We got some information there. Veranda with chairs is lovely place. Unfortunately we were give wrong information about airboats in another part of Everglades. A lady at their information desk said that there is not a problem to get tickets. But it was. They told... This visitor center is a pleasure to visit. The staff was very helpful showing us maps and giving us ideas and information about what to see in the park. A staff member in the gift shop even called another gift shop to see if they had an item we were looking for which had sold out. The visitors center is... More

really great education center. You almost don't need to go into the park. The Coe Visitor center was the best part of our entire trip to the Everglades.

This visitor center is right outside the Florida City entrance to the park. You can stop on your way in to plan your visit. It's a beautiful facility with incredible displays and an educational film. You can get stamps for your passport and make a stop in the small but very nice gift shop for some souvenirs.
