The WGI Peace park is super nice, but not a must see. If you are into getting your passport stamped make sure you request at border crossing.

Peaceful, serene, contented, prosperous. This summarizes the waves of feeling that overcome you as you visit this Park on the border of USA and Canada. Just enjoy the quiet peace.

We visited on October 9th, just before snow closed down the park on October 10th. We had to see the west side (up and back) then take Highway 2 around to the east side because Logan Pass was already closed. West side was a great drive for anyone not in an oversized vehicle - beautiful views, rushing waterfalls, fall color,... More

We zipped up to Waterton for an afternoon while staying along the east side of Glacier National Park. It was a beautiful ride and the lake with the mountains dropping right into it was stunning. Much more commercial than Glacier - clearly a resort town with the requisite cute shops, coffee houses, and ice cream. One caution - you are... More

My husband and I visited for 1 day in September 2016, and we LOVED our visit here! The park is small enough to cover in a day, but we did not have time to take but 1 short hike. We were warned about the bears and saw signs that they were around, but we didn't see any bears until our... More

It was on my bucket list and so happy I was able to check it off with a smile on my face. It was everything I had hoped for (perhaps a few more animals would have made it even more special. The leaves were turning yellow, the road was clear.

My wife and I visited this park on October 2nd and 3rd, 2016. The east entrance visitor center (St Mary's) was open for the last day of the season on the 2nd. The west visitor center (Apgar) will close next week. The park's lodging was all closed. Driving in the park was fantastic with very little traffic. The trees were... More

Where else do bear families and mule deer share a tiny town. We had the pleasure of visiting and seeing a mother bear and three cubs eating berries on the lakeshore in town. The waterfall in town was one of the best. Worth the drive and negotiating through the free range cattle on the roads.

Go for it. Exc road trip. Breath taking views, maybe some wildlife in the road or along the road like elk, bear etc. Take $50 cans of bear spray if hiking the trails. Waterton is a nice town down in the holler but the views of Waterton from up above is fantastic and find the waterfalls too...
