Wow! I think most people have seen pictures of the Grand Canyon but seeing it with your own eyes is something else! The first view of the Canyon is something I will never forget. I could go on a write about how amazing it is, but to put it simply if I had to recommend one thing that everyone should... More

If you are going to the Grand Canyon, a little planning will go along way. The number of visitors in the Fall and Winter are much lower - there are no crowds in November and December, you can easily stop at any of the places along the South Rim and take your time getting photos. The trails are uncrowded, there... More

What a beautiful site with its many overlooks and panoramic views! Although we were not able to walk all the way down because of the time required - camping at the bottom is recommended as it takes 4 hours to walk down and 8 hours to walk back up! I recommend planning a one night camping experience by the Colorado... More

South Rim is more accessible and is open throughout the year as compared to the North Rim which has a shorter season. If you intend to stay in South Rim lodges, do your bookings well in advance since the limited accommodation fills up fast. You could also stay outside the National Park at a lower cost, but you would spend... More

This park is absolutely special and chalked full of great things to see. Nature at it's best. My only negative comment is that 'in season' the South Rim can get very crowded which takes away for the ambiance of the experience.

The views were remarkable; they have to be seen to be believed. But dress warmly, the wind can be brutally cold. The park staff taking the entry fee had little personality, she didn't crack a smile or even acknowledge my question when I jokingly asked if the view was worth the $30 USD entry fee...

We had the most amazing time there. We got lost in the peacefulness of the canyon and the sunset was everything. I can't wait to go back to experience more of what the canyon and ita beauty.

This was something I've always wanted to see & I thought it was beautiful. My biggest caution is to those people afraid heights. I know this seems obvious, but my sister thought she would be fine a few steps back from the railing. Neither of us realized how many people would be climbing out on the rocks & even jumping... Our group of 5 active ladies (ages 53-66) just finished a 2 day hike. Went down South Kaibab Trail, overnite at Phantom Ranch (booked a year in advance!), and hiked up Bright Angel Trail. It was a once in a lifetime experience!!! But definitely the hardest thing I've ever done!!! We hit all kinds of weather... snowing at the start... More

You can see all the photos and movies of this place but until you see it in person you can not fathom its size, color and beauty. We took the 2 hour drive from Sedona on a Saturday so it was a bit difficult to get a parking spot at around 11:00 when we arrived. We went to Bright Angel trail and... More
