A must see if you are in the North Rim Area. A scenic drive off the main valley floor road the views from here are some of the most spectacular in the entire Grand Canyon.

This is a great start to your North Rim adventure. Get up early, pull on a jacket and walk out to the point to watch the sunrise. You'll have company but when the sun shows up it gets quiet as there is a collective inhale....More

We had been to the South Rim, but wanted to visit here too. This Point has good afternoon views and into sunset. It is conveniently walking distance from the lodge.

Stunning. We were there at sunset and the colors of the canyon changed every minute. Buses can drop you off and pick you up regularly.

Gorgeous views, not terribly busy during the fall. On clear nights you can see the lights of the south rim across the canyon. This is one of my favorite viewpoints of the whole Grand Canyon!

Absolutely yes. Have done it often. Use 89 one way and 89a the other. Should allow you 3 hrs of time on the rim. Might snack at lodge at Bright Angel, get view and food to save time.
