This was my second Grand Canyon trip with Wildland Trekking and another fantastic experience. We did the three day Phantom Ranch trip in November, 2016 after doing the Havasu Falls trip in 2014. Our wonderful guide had warned us of the possibility of extreme weather, so we were well prepared, but fortunately the conditions weren't as bad as forecast. Due... More

This was my first ever visit to the Grand Canyon. I had done day hikes and car camping but no backpacking and this was one of the best trips I had. We were a group of three people (including the guide) and did this combination of primitive and threshold trails on Grand Canyon. Our five day trip started from Grandview... More

Wildland Trekking provided a wonderful guided trip for my first time hiking the Grand Canyon. Tiffany, the guide, was very attentive, educational and best yet, very personable! The trekking company provided the hiking poles and backpacks. The food Tiffany prepared on the trail was better most lunches I have at home!

Once in a lifetime girl's trip. It was a perfect adventure for the adventurous. I was surprised a the downhill slopes going in to the Canyon, especially knowing we had to come back out that way. Glad I trained! The views of the canyon and the history and stories given by the guides were all the entertaining needed. Rachael knew... More

My husband and I (early 60's) recently completed the three day canyon trek in mid-November. We can only use very positive adjectives to describe our first true trekking experience and much of this may be attributed to our guide Michael. In spite of dealing with a group composed of varying abilities and interests, Michael found a way to give us... More

Recently did the Best of the South Rim hiking tours with Betsey. This is an inn based tour so we went down and up three different trails on three days. The accommodations were excellent across the board. What makes the trip however is your guide and Betsey was amazing. Her knowledge of the Grand Canyon -- its layers, flora and... More

Wonderful time spent exploring the Grand Canyon, expertly outfitted by Wildland Trekking and wonderful guide Tiffany. She made every moment of the trip a pleasurable experience. This is not a simple walk in the park, advanced preparation is needed but the payoff is the enjoyment of one of our great National Parks. We gained new insights of this spectacular recreation... Rachel Harman was our guide - a young lady, very comfortable in the terrain and with some great stories of her rock climbing adventures. This 4 day trek is challenging with jaw-dropping descents and heart-pounding ascents on difficult terrain with a reasonably heavy pack. The hire kit is good (though the sleeping bags are heavy, I brought my own). Camping... More

This was one of my bucket list items. Wildland Trekking made it possible and easy to accomplish. All I had to do was add my stamina and foot power The event was well organized. Meals were fantastic. There were no unknowns and the expectations were well communicated before, during and after the experience. Crystal was the greatest guide. She was... More

Excellent guided trip from the South Rim down to stay two nights at the Phantom Ranch. Shane Hall was the consumate guide, calm, pleasant, always cheerful and most of all a font of knowlege and lore to make the trek fly by.
