This drive was a highlight of our visit to the North Rim, for the views each side of the road as well as the destination itself. The Aspens had turned yellow and made a stunning contrast to the burned black trees. Photo heaven! I was also taken with how quiet it was at each stop. There were very few people... More

This drive is about 15 miles of paved two-lane road. It isn't appropriate for RV, but it is fine for regular autos. It isn't a scary drive. There are many canyon overlooks and lots of trees. The aspens were golden when we made the drive, so it was quite beautiful. The walk out to Cape Royal is an easy, short... More

Drive all the way to Cape Royal and then stop at the vistas on the return. This way you'll be making easy right turns into the lot without having to wait and do the left turn after waiting for coming traffic to clear. The different vista points along the way are also worthwhile stopping to get a differnet perspective of... More

The day we took the drive out to Cape Royal Drive was probably one of the best days we've ever had. Minimum effort required! I'd suggest you take a picnic and make a proper outing of it. There are many stop offs, I suggest you see them all, most with restrooms (no shops). Lots of picnic tables. We picnicked at... More

This is one of the most scenic drives you will ever take. There are pull offs along the way so you can get out an take pictures. Plenty of formations and beautiful vistas.A must see if you have a vehicle.

The drive start is about 45 mins from Grand Canyon Lodge, but so, so worth it. There are spectacular pull-outs all along the way and be SURE to stop at each one. Roosevelt Point was one of our favorites...awe inspiring. Of course, Angel's Window is not to be missed, and you CAN'T miss it! at the end, walk on down... More

Really, if you are at the Canyon, you must take this drive and stop at all the lookouts. You don't have to hike to enjoy the Canyon but can walk a short distance to the lookouts and enjoy the stunning scenery.

angle' window is a vantage point on the north rim of the grand canyon that should not be missed. It takes a while to drive to, but it is well worth the drive.
