This was a great crave tour experience for my family. The tour guide was fun and informative. My boys (6 & 8) were captivated the entire time. It's a beautiful cave and you should go if you are anywhere near. It was the highlight of our Great Basin trip.....the kids might say their highlight was being "held up" by cowboys... More

The tour guide is great at explaining the history of the caves and the stories behind the formations

Tours take place several times a day. It's highly recommended you book in advance, because they do sell out. There are only 20 spots on a tour. We were going in July, and I booked in late April, and some slots were already filled at that time. Because you are locked into a reservation slot, I would shoot for something... More

It was a great tour. I liked that they kept it to a small group of 20 people. I learned so much about the cave and the ranger was very informative. GBNP beautiful and unique but under rated national park and I personally think that they should charge more for their tours since any proceeds goes to maintenance and fixing... More

Small groups tour this cave led by knowledgeable rangers. There were some cave formations we had never seen in other caves. The tour requires some walking but is not difficult.

We went on the last tour of the day, but the Ranger was well informed and our kids had a blast. We learned that there is more than mites and tites. Also how long it takes the calcium to form. Make sure you make a reservation and DO NOT wear clothes you have worn in a cave in the last... More

If you have the time, and are inclined to go off the grid a tad...then you must consider going to see Lehman Caves in Great Basin National Park...located pretty much on the Nevada - Utah border. The drive to/from is actually spectacular...it's classic "basin and range" geology...you drive along perfectly flat valleys (basins) for quite a few miles, and then... More

We hadn't planned on doing the Lehman cave tour as we've been in many caves all over the US. Scenic drives & hiking were more on our agenda. However, we found ourselves at the Lehman Cave Visitors Center on our 1st day & it was raining. So we decided to take the cave tour. We had a short wait, so... More

Have had several cave tours over the years. In the beginning, this was a disappointment.....not very spectacular and many of the stalactites & stalagmites had been broken off. This cave did not seem to be as colorful and impressive as some. However, it was somewhat more educational than some cave tours...thanks to our guide. We traveled in the off-season......if you... We visited Great Basin National Park, expecting to hike. We visited in the fall, when there were fewer travelers, so pre-planning or a reservation were not an issue. We have visited many caves, and found this one to be our second favorite. It has some unique formations, the walk was easy and our guide (Julie) was fun and informed.
