Nice hike

Not too physically demanding but not "easy" hike. Worth the effort. Water was low throughout the park but level of water on falls here was still good. Beautiful spot for picnic.

What a hike! 5 miles round trip! It helps to be fit, so it kicked my butt! Definitely difficult with children. Rough terrain at times, walking only on rocks and tree roots. It was a long, sweaty hike, but I'm glad I made the hike. The falls were beautiful, serene and provided a sense of calm.

We went on this hike the day after Thanksgiving. Cades Cove was packed and the trail was busy but we still enjoyed the adventure. The trail was a bit technical in points. Rocks and roots to watch out for. My youngest is 11 and it took us about 2 hours round trip. We saw a couple get engaged at the... More

What a great family outting! The trail terrain is kinda rough but maneuverable. I brought my wife and kids. (2,6,8) The stream along the trail made for beautiful background sound when not in sight. I can't say enough except it's a must try in cades cove. The waterfall is absolutely breath taking! It took us approximately 6 hours we didn't... More

Visited this trail many times over the years. It's a five mile round trip, completed in around 2.5 hours for someone who is in moderately good shape. Inclines and descents both ways, some half log footbridges and some rough trail areas with large tree roots and rock outcroppings. Use caution during wet or snowy conditions. Trail follows a stream, offers... More

Lots of people on this hike but all were friendly and quick with a smile. It's a long hike but its so worth it when you get there. pack a snack or a lunch and plan for extra time to just sit and enjoy the view before you head back

It's on the way in Cade Cove. The trail is quite boring along the mountain. The falls are not as big as imagine.

We ventured out to the falls the third week of October. The trail was in great shape, a couple of tricky log bridges, nothing difficult. The day was sunny and the leaves lit up under the ray of the morning sun. Once completed the slow ride out of Cades Cove was on. Many bicyclists (children) riding 2 abreast and/or walking... More

Saw more wildlife on this hike. Was great listening to the running water along the way to the falls. Had some up and down climbs along roots and rocks.

This is a nice hike about halfway around the Cades Cove loop. It's 2.5 miles each way for a five mile round trip. The trail is fairly easy with a few climbs and descents and a couple of rocky areas. It offers nice views and ends at a nice waterfall that is a great place for lunch. The traffic on... More
