Nice loop trail with an old cabin. Not a very strenuous hike. We took our time and did the loop and Cataract Falls in about an hour. Good for an easy stroll in the woods.

Take this walk in early morning to avoid crowds. We went at 9am, and started out the only ones there. By the time we were done, there were a dozen cars. All paved and flat, so people with various disabilities can enjoy this trail. We didn't see much wildlife, but the stream views were pretty.

This was a very moderate hike, good for all ages. It starts at the sugarland visitor center and can also lead to longer hikes and waterfalls if you so desire!

The Sugarlands Valley Nature Trail begins directly behind the pop machines and restrooms at the Sugarlands Visitor Center. That really makes you want to go, right? Anyway it is paved for a short distance, then hard packed for the rest of the half mile loop. Please note one very important thing: the Nature Trail is fine for wheelchairs and even... More

To truly enjoy the Smokies you need to off the road and into the quietness of the woods... this little trail offers that very opportunity. Easy walking makes it enjoyable for all ages.

I live here and this park needs a lot of work. After the windstorm during the wildfires many many trees were blown over and it looks like a tornado came through. Walks and benches are covered with moss and a lot of clearing out needs to be done. I wish I had the money to get it done. Very depressing... More

Super fun time, lots of views and areas to explore off the path. Short, easy and safe hike. We probably spent an hour and could have even spent more.

If I could I would give it 3 1/2 stars. It is better than average but not very good. A very short peaceful paved path that runs along a brook on one side and the road on the other side. There are a couple of old home sites with only the chimney standing. During the fall, there is a lot... More

We stopped here cause we had time to kill. This was easy hike more of a walk no climbing or elevation gain some interesting sites. You could see where a couple houses had been all that was left was chimneys plus on one side your hiking along the water so it's peaceful we had it mostly to ourselves. The parking... More
