We had seen so much and our day was winding down. My wife wanted to stop and take some pictures. Glad we did ,it was a short walk from the parking lot. The building can be seen from the road. We went inside, unbelievable in the...More

It is just a historic cabin for me. Nothing special. If you have time and you can stop by to have a look.

This is a great spot. I'm told it took an heroic effort to save it from the fire. I have nothing but great admiration for the firefighters and neighbors who did save it. The trail is not t rough and fairly easily managed. The two...More

A short, easy (mostly flat) trail with good history. Definitely something to see, especially in spring when the dogwoods are blooming by the cabins.

There are two buildings on the property with a hiking trail and easy parking. It is an amazing treasure to visualize how the early settlers lived.

We have no clue as to how this wooden structure survived the Great Fire of 2016. Not many parking spaces nearby so the trails away from the house are not crowded. The views of the river out back are awesome.

We love coming here and we were delighted to know that it didn't burn in the November 2016 fires. Always worth a visit to this area!!
