This lake gives you some amazing views and is a great picnic spot. Although you can go around the whole lake, we just did one side of it as we were running late. But the lake is good for boating and kayaking and during summer there are different activities scheduled so make sure you check those at the visitor center... More

Camped here before a busy weekend. Make reservations if you can, only one loop is open to non-reservations. Showers and water, but no hookups.

I've been going to Lassen Park and Manzanita Lake in particular since 1984. I've hiked in and around the lake as well as other park trails. Camping at Manzanita lake is a treat as they have a nicely developed campground with some trailer hookups too. I''ve motorcycle, car tent camped and trailer camped with friends. Great shower and store facilities... More

We saw lots of people fly fishing here. We also had a picnic here. The lake was very calm and lots of people were taking advantage of it.

We visited Lassen Volcanic National Park last weekend. It is a short 1-1/2 hour drive from our home in Chico to the south entrance and visitor's center. Drive through the park on the main park road and you come to Manzanita Lake, very near the Park's northwest entrance. Lovely lake with an easily walkable path around the entire lake. The... More

We took a drive through the Lassen Volcanic N.P from the South entrance to the North entrance that is close to the Manzanita Lake, there is a great Visitor Center, a campground and a bout lunch where you can rent a canoe and explore the lake. There is a hike of a mile around the lake that allows the hiker to... More

very good relaxation destination. Visit during or after may, when the park opens, just when the snow starts clearing from the highway, but still covers the mountains. Entire day can be spent here. Try and book the cabins or take RV.

Nice, peaceful lake with beautiful views. Fishing was fun. We saw fishes jumping, but did not get a nibble. Calm waters are great for kayaking and paddle boarding.

Located just inside Lassen Volcanic Park. It is beautiful, but quite busy the day we were there. If you have dogs, as with all national parks, they are not allowed on any trails past the Visitors' Center. Cabins
