This tour is easy to access from the Visitor Center and the on-site hotel. Following a lengthy staircase at the entrance to the cave, once in the cave, the walking is on mostly level ground, with a few stairs, but plenty of headroom as most...More

This tour is short on the formations in other caves. It is long on history and the names on the ceiling appear as if they were put there yesterday.

We chose to go on this visit for multiple reasons: 1) we were looking for something with history 2) we wanted a smaller group. This tour starts off on the same route as the Historical Tour, but branches off to a different level after the...More

I'm not one to enjoy being underground but the tour rangers were great leaders and spoke clearly and answered questions. This tour was on the very crowded solar eclipse weekend. (Tuesday was nearly empty.) I'm sure rangers were busy every minute. The caves are spectacular...More

Very interesting tour of the history of the caves. There are enough stairs for a mini workout plus the hill down and back up. The blackout was quite an experience.

This tour was really nice because it had a smaller allowable number of people. We took a larger tour as well but it was nicer having fewer people. Very interesting history and sites and great rangers. Get your tickets early cause these sell out even...More

Ranger was very informative. Tour was about two hours. More talking than seeing much of the cave. I would consider the self-guided tour. I enjoyed the below ground 54 degree temperature but some would need a light jacket. Easy walking but some steep inclines.

This is a great room. The cave itself is a dying cave. People have ruined it, dried it up and killed the ecosystem.

Interesting and informative tour, the ranger shared the history of the cave and showed what has been done by the early explorers. Don't expect many stalagmites and stalactites in this tour, though.

This was a really neat tour. I enjoyed our ranger guides and the 2hr trip went by faster than we thought it would. Lots of walking but none too strenuous. We took three kids and even the toddler (just shy of 3) managed fine from...More
