This hike is easy, and around 2 mls, round trip I believe. It's paved the whole way, and winds through beautiful forest foliage, with a little bridge crossing a creek and small waterfall. There was some fall undergrowth along the way, here and there; with...More

It's hard to describe the Lake. First the hike. It's on a wonderful paved trail the whole way. The trail is gentle winding through a dense forest. The hike itself is a nice payoff. Then we round a corner to a viewing area and there...More

Anytime a person can hike in a National Park and only see a handful of people it’s a great hike! This lake is beautiful!

Approx 1-2 miles hike. Be wary of the bugs though. Ample amount of parking lots. The lake is really gorgeous and I would definitely revisit it next summers as well.

This is an easy walk through beautiful forest to a breathtaking lake and cascading waterfall. Was surprised how gorgeous it was! And paved the whole way so easy for people of all ages. One of the prettiest views of the whole trip!

We enjoy hikes with a reward at the end and this hike has one of the best we have seen. Easy, paved trail that anyone can use. Very few people were there so we had the lake to ourselves when we got to it. The...More

The walk to get to the lake is easy and the reward, the lake view, is large! The path is wide, paved, and fairly flat with quite a few benches to rest on if needed. You walk through some nice woods ending at a beautiful...More

It is paved, about a mile long , and easy if you are rushed for time. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the Washington Pass area.

Even though this lake is outside North Cascades National Park, it's a very popular stop and comes recommended. Located at Rainy Pass Picnic Area (MP 158) are two great hikes. One is the Rainy Lake trail (1 mile/easy/one-way), while the other being the Maple Pass...More
