Lake Diablo Dam is great stopping point if you're driving on route 20. It's an older dam with a very nice design. There is parking after you drive over to the other side of the dam.

This is an absolutely stunning lake. A must see when in the North Cascades. The color of the water is surreal. The picture has not been Photoshopped.

We took this road to the dam which isn't too wide, so be careful driving down it depends on what vehicle is coming the other way. Once you get to the dam you can drive across to the other side. There's no stopping on the dam...More

The lake and dam are a must see on the North Cascades highway. The water turns a deep blue-green in the summer, and the views are incredible! There is a boat tour available through the North Cascades Institute/Seattle City Light that is worth the price...More

Very very impressive! you will drive through it if you aim to reach the Diablo Lake trail in the North Cascade national park. We stopped in the middle and looked down of the dam, it's quite scary! Also, a beautiful piece of architecture. Recommended!

The Dam is beautiful. The rushing water down below into beautiful blue-green waters. If you stand close to the ladder you can actually see two rainbows. What a nice surprise!

I'm not sure where the real parking for this spot is, but we pulled to the side on a small road just off the Route 20. Walked across an almost swinging bridge and up a trail through wonderful gardens on a good trail to the...More

Sign said education center-I thought it would be a visitor center. Road becomes narrow curvy road ending on the top of aa dam-continued over for some beautiful views.

Just driving over the dam is fun. It's easy to find and worth a stop if you driving on route 20. This past weekend there was plenty of water being released which made for some interesting pictures.
