Panoramic views of distant mountains makes your day. We completed the Hurricane trail and could see Canada from the top of the mountain. Certain stretches of hike can be little steep but you will get a good footing on the trailpath. We saw few deers on one of the grass fields.

Absolutely beautiful! National park fee is required, I believe it was around $20. Takes about 20 min. to get to the observation area at the top. Multiple opportunities for hikes and look out areas. Beware that due to elevation chains and or snow tires could be required, you will not be allowed to enter without.

The pictures say it all. It was a great day for sight seeing. Heavy snow on the tree,. Blue sky with a few clouds and amazing views. The weather was clear and sunny which is unusual for January.

Traveling by car from Port Angeles, the winding climbing road has many magnificent vistas. One occasionally spots a deer or bear. Beyond the major parking lot are picnic tables that overlook mountains and valleys. There are dirt and macadam walking paths.

When he Olympic Mountains snow capped fingers reach up into a brilliant blue sky, it is a heavenly site to behold. If the sky happens to be cloud-filled, the beauty is in the green. Tall confers and hanging moss quiet the surroundings and the rain cleans the atmosphere. Breathing the fresh air and viewing the mountains and walking the trails,... More

We drove up from a cloudy and overcast Port Angeles, through the clouds to a gorgeous sunny visitor centre. We hiked to the top of Hurricane Ridge, which seemed slightly further than the distance given in the guides, but it was well wo Ruth it for views across the park and back to Canada. The visitor centre had a very... More

The views from Hurricane Ridge are breathtaking. If you are new to the area, I recommend that you first stop at the Visitor's Center to get a map and tips on the trails and sights. The park is open all year, weather permitting but check beforehand, snow chains may be necessary in winter months. Every time I am in Sequim... More

Beautiful view but dress warmly. The temperature drops considerably once you hit the top of the mountain and the winds blow like the hurricane it's named for--but so invigorating! Be careful too not to slip on the patches of ice. Very cool place to visit!

There were deer crossing the street and the weather was perfect. There wasn't much to do except for the tourist center. No more words needed, just look at the pictures!
