Easy walk, which is nice if you plan on hauling around serious camera gear. Parking lot is very full. Enjoyed lunch at one of the many picnic tables in the parking lot. Beautiful little trout in the stream are very easy to view. This is a great stop for anyone with mobility issues that still want to enjoy the park.

After seeing a TV post about "wildlife" up at Rocky Mountain National Park, we decided to check it out. After about a 2 hour drive from Golden, CO to Estes Park via Boulder, CO - we got to the park. Very cold and lots of snow. Headed into the park and first off the main entrance is the side road... More

We loved every minute we spent at Bear Park. We snowshoed here with our family and the trails were easily accessible and well marked. The weather was amazing and that contributes to our overall great experience.

Hiked the lakes here and loved the stunning scenery. The weather wasn't great and the trails were snowy but still busy with other hikers and skaters heading to the frozen lakes.

If you are going to Colorado, then a trip to the Rock Mountains National Park needs to be on your list of things to do. We stopped off here on our way up into the Rock Mountains, we parked in the carpark and went for a walk around the lake which is just 1/2 a mile, there are a few... More

Love hiking around this lake in any season. It is 1/2 mile around the lake with some 12, 16 and 18% grades. There are some fantastic views of Longs Peak on the back side of this lake. This is one of the must do things in RMNP. My sister,a recent foot amputation, made it all the way around the lake!

Among many beautiful lakes I went to, this one is no way ranking at 2nd place for a major national park in tripadvisor. The highest ranking lake in a major national park should be something like Moraine lake in Banff or Jenny lake in Grand Teton.

This lake is right at the trail head and is very easily accessible. The path around the lake is paved which is nice if you have a stroller/wheel chair. Lots of other fun non paved hikes start from around the lake as well
