We walked the foot path around the lake about 7:45 one morning and every view was amazing. Nature at it's finest. Go early as the place gets crowded and you will have to be shuttled in. Was a short easy hike around the lake.

Bear Lake has a fairly large parking space but it fills up quickly. The lake is a quick walk up the trail and takes only forty minutes to walk all the way around once. It is a nice spot to take small children or meet...More

Great views and saw a bull moose along the way. Beat Lake is an easy fairly level walk around the lake.

We were visiting the Park on a semi-rainy Tuesday. We lucked out and got a parking spot, I think because some people were bailing due to the rain. We live in the Denver area so we are used to Colorado weather and had confidence that...More

Many hikes originate from this trail head. The lake is a short hike, level and something that most people can do. Beautiful

Get here early if you don't want to ride the shuttle. We were told to be there before 8 or the parking lot would be full. Didn't leave as early as I wanted to, so we had to wait and take the shuttle. It's a...More

I did it! I walked all the way around Bear Lake! Okay, it's only six-tenths of a mile, and you're probably sneering right now. But that's pretty impressive for me! It took me over an hour, because I stopped at almost every overlook to admire...More

It’ll take you about a half an hour to reach Bear Lake from most parts of Estes Park. Go early in the day to avoid longer wait times at the gateway to the park entrances. Parking will fill too before 8:30 am on weekends... More

Hello, The only issue that I can think of is the snow fall up in the mountains by December and some of the roads in the park maybe closed by then. It's a fairly easy walk but the weather concerns me.
