Not the most modern of places .... but the views just can't be beat! Can be crowded but go out back and look out over the park.

Although the building is dated, the huge windows inside take advantage of the soaring scenery. Located about a 35 to 40 minute drive from Beaver Meadows Visitor Center (on a less busy day while taking your time), this is a very popular break stop. It is not only the highest visitor center in our national park system, but it also... More

A must stop on the Trail Ridge Road...not so much because of the exceptional center, but more because of the views it provides of the surrounding countryside and the trails you can access from here. Whether you are looking for a strenuous multi-mile hike or a 500 yard leg stretcher, this is the place. The classic photo op (by the... More

This is truly an unique visitor's center. However, even though it has a traditional gift shop and Park Rangers to answer questions, don't expect it to be like the others with lots of displays, activities, or movies. It basically sits at the edge of a canyon and offers a spectacular view both indoor and outdoor. Simply wonderful. Outside you can... More

The Alpine Visitor Center is a must-stop if you're driving Trail Ridge Road. Learn about the local environment and the animals that live in it (and maybe even see marmots - they can be spotted from the deck in the back), and take in some breathtaking views. There is a short trail to a stunningly scenic viewpoint (if you haven't... More

Great visitor center at the top of the drive. Nice walk to the 12,005 foot elevation. But not for the weak, nice may not be the the correct adjective; difficult because of the high altitude, but worth it if you make the trek. It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to climb to the observation point. I was the... More

This is an amazing place to stop - lots of parking. 360 degree landscapes and plenty of animals roaming the tundra. The views at 11796'. My only complaint - restrooms inside were closed. The lines for the outside bathrooms were long with a 15 minute plus wait. Gift Shop is large with a great selection of items for sale. We... More

The highest National Parks visitor's center in the US! Amazing views, great trip up to the center. Don't miss it, elks and majestic vistas along the way. Nice shop, bathrooms and information about the park. We started out at the entrance where it was 80 degrees and it was snowing by the time we got to the tundra on top.... More

The Alpine Visitor Center is on of the best visitor centers I have been to. It offers stunning views from 12,000 + feet above sea level where you can enjoy informative sessions given by park rangers while enjoying the views of grazing elk, falcons and other wildlife. There is also a very nice souvenir shop and restaurant.
