Gentle incline up to an area of two loops (turnbacks) Or you can continue up two split paths once you cross the fallen logs over the stream. It's nice because there are great views, and even some elk in there. The trails are easy as...More

Here in late June. No snow but a lovely stroll around the stream. There is a shelter for a picnic and rest rooms. A place to stop and smell the pines.

This is a gorgeous site that offers kids, and those young-at-heart, a fun place to go sledding. There are a couple of hills to choose from (bring your own sled) and it's also a great place to take off on some cross country skiing. Make...More

We picnicked in the snow on one of the many picnic benches. Tucked into a quiet corner surrounded by snowy tree clad mountains beside a babbling brook it was beautiful. The walk is very short but looked like a good place to sled if the...More

Amazing place to go to see snow. We have never seen snow before and we all had a blast. Throw snowballs and sled till you are worn out. Everyone was friendly and were respectful of their surroundings.

We visited in April and there was still just enough snow to get in some good sledding, some great back country skiing, and to build some snowmen. Being from Southern Illinois, we get some snow each winter but not much. Our six year old daughter...More

Can't go wrong with RMNP in the winter and Hidden Valley sledding hill was great. We got about 100 runs in before the kids (and me) pooped out. The warming hut was perfect to warm the toes and on the way out saw a huge...More

We brought the boys sledding for the first time ever. Our teenager was not that interested, but our 10 year old loved it. You have to bring your own sleds or tubes, but they are cheap to rent nearby. The hills are relatively small but...More
