Unfortunately, we weren’t able to see any big horned sheep and apparently they’re not there all that much. They come down from the mountain tops from time to time to eat soil from Sheep Lake that contains minerals. We did not see other wildlife either,...More

never did see the big horn sheep, but saw foxes, elk, mule deer. We returned here at night to look at the stars. Very impressive sky views/milky way clearly visible at night!

A short drive past the Fall River Entrance to the Park. We didn't see anything when we stopped on our way in, but on the way back got the joy of seeing two young bighorn sheep cavorting in the meadows by the lakes. The rangers...More

We drove by here several times during the day just to spot the wildlife. We never saw the big horn sheep that frequent the area, but we saw elk, moose, and other little critters.

The lakes are in the middle of a big field. The sheep come down to paw up minerals around the lake and eat them. Unfortunately they had not been down in a few days so we missed out. Don't worry there is plenty to see...More

Nice morning first stop in the park. Like others have stated. No sheep seen there , but other locations. Usually park staff available to answer questions.

This was the best part of our trip. I got some great photos of the Big Horn Sheep! The park rangers were super nice and I learned a lot from them.

This was my 4th or 5th drive through Sheep Lakes. While I have never seen a sheep, there are usually other animals to see. This trip we went in the evening. There were plenty of deer and elk. We also got a good look at...More
