There's a reason why Zion is the 5th most visited NP in the USA. Many international visitors arrive for the vertical cliffs and waterfalls. Please be patient with transportation, however.

Zion is my favorite national park. It never disappoints. Such epic beauty and majesty. Special thanks to the staff for maintaining the trails and offering great customer service to visitors. Safety is their number one priority. Just as it should be. I would go monthly...More

We came on Columbus Day. The scenic self drive was our favorite. We also took the bus and hiked to a waterfall and went to the river. If I went again, I would go a little later in the season when the crowds die down.

Zion is an AWSOME park with some of the best views in America. Off season is best and weekdays have less crowds to contend with. Bring good hiking shoes and allow enough time for your hike to allow you to get back to trams.

We were at Zion this week. Hadn't realized it was Columbus Day week and the numbers were really up. The park does an amazing job at handling crowds, shuttles run frequently and people never seem to wait. After hearing some challenges that hikers had faced...More

Zion was on my bucket list of Natl Parks to see and it certainly exceeded my wildest expectations in a recent 2-1/2 day visit to the park. We stayed in the park at Zion Lodge and hiked all three days we spent at the park...More

We traveled to Utah to go to Zion and hike some of the trails. Wow. Observation Point, the Narrows, lower Emerald pools. What a beautiful place. Will want to go back and explore some more.

We really didn’t allocate enough time to this park and we are already making plans to return later. The shuttle buses were fantastic way to get around the park and relieved the park congestion. We were only able to get in the lower emerald pools...More

Our first encounter with Zion NP was literally awesome. We were driving along Highway 9, the Zion-Mount Carmel route, when we suddenly entered the National Park, not realising that the public highway cuts through a corner of it. So we found ourselves at the top...More

I'm not sure, I went in June. But I can tell you the water of tThe Narrows is always super cold. After hiking up to The Narrows in the summer it felt awesome to feel that cold water. I think it will be colder in September.

You cannot drive your car on the shuttle route. If you are staying at the Zion Lodge you get a pass that allows you to drive to the lodge only. The shuttle is quite efficient and it comes to each stop every few minutes. The... More
