During my visit on 28/4, there were numbers of construction works in progress for the damaged rail. Due to this reason, we were able to walk up to the Wulai Falls and enjoyed a quiet and leisure walk.

Road leading to the Waterfalls from Old Street was quiet in early morning. However gets busy later in the day. No separate hiking trail. Sharing road with motor vehicles. Quite narrow at certain parts. About 1.5 km or less than half an hour walk.

The waterfall was not as what we expected. Nothing much to see or play. Only place we enjoyed was the museum as it shows alot of information on the Atayal tribe.

Just around the corner from bustling Taipei, is this little gem. It's a short hike to the Wulai Falls, but you can feel the negative ions (good thing) in the cool crisp air, even in the summer! The sound and the power of the falls...More

Stayed for 1 night at the luxurious Volando resort and visited this fall. Instead of "hiking" for 1 hour, we took a 10min taxi ride. Then a cable ride higher. It's ok only and not exactly very awe-inspiring

We went by foot and took the cable car to visit Yun-Hsien Park. Nice walk in a romantic scenery along the river with hot springs at the border.

Very cool cable car ride up the mountain... and you can get to soak your feet in the waters at the top of the waterfall. Worth a daytrip out here if you enjoy the green and nature.
