The entire island of Taiwan has a rich geological history. This is an area with a sheer rock cliff overlooking the road that takes you to the rock formations. The rocks are mainly on the coastline and you can easily park and walk among some of the rocks and take pictures of the odd shaped and angular rock formations. The... More

Definitely one of the more scenic beach landscape I have seen so far. Features places both near the sea and high up on the cliff for u to take some scenic view. However this area is only accessible by cab or lots of walking so consider carefully:). Saw a few photoshoot for weddings and modelling there as well

We hired a car and driver for half a day, and said we wanted to go someplace pretty and quiet. We did not want to contend with crowds. This area is gorgeous and, at least when we were there, tourist-free. It was a wonderful respite from the fun but bustling city. This is far more peaceful than the more northern... More

We went to the Nanya Rock Formations area on a half day trip. While we only had 15 minutes to visit the area, it was enough to capture the amazing scenery. I wouldn’t mind staying there a while longer as the surf was rough and it made for a cool scene of the waves crashing on the rocks. If I... More

This place is beautiful! The view of the rocks and ocean are fantastic! You can take great photos here especially during a clear day. My kids enjoyed climbing the rocks. Feels fantastic looking into the ocean from the rocks. Definitely a must see place!

Be amazed by Nature's "sculptures" and bring home fantastic pictures that friends will envy and want to duplicate. A must see when you're in Taiwan!

This beautiful little cliff – a very short drive away from the Shuinandong Smelter and Yin Yang Sea but easily missed - is worth making a pit stop or even a detour for. It is partly hidden behind some bushes along the Northern coastal road (there is a car park just opposite it, across the road). There are two sections... More

Our shuttle stopped at the side of the road of the northern coast to see the Nanya rock formations. Unlike at Yehliu Park, there's no entrance fee here and there's like only 3 formations to see: (1) The 'Bamboo Shoot' which was the main formation which is visible from the road when you are driving and passing by the coast....
