Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

$2.25 per person to walk out on this pier that is showing its age and neglect. We only saw a few jellyfish and the dolphin we spotted were just as easily seen from the beach or and beachfront place.
If you want to fish it cost more and of the few people we saw out there, none were catching.
Save your time and money for some other great things in the area.

Awesome Pier. Fantastic place to walk out over the ocean and watch the fishermen. Lots of sea life too, we saw rays, sharks and dolphins, it cost a dollar to walk out on the pier and you can rent fishing poles/bait too. Benches to sit down on and people watch. Can see for miles in either direction. Very romantic to sit and watch the sunset.

This pier is very long and wide. Because of the structure of concrete and some wood planks it holds up very well in the Gulf storms. It was $2.50 just to walk the pier and take in the ocean view and plenty of people were fishing. It is a great way to get in a little exercise and see the beach from the water side.

We visit in our class C Winnabego. There were 3 large size handicap space that would take my RV. The wife love taking picture on the pier. There is a $2.35 day pass charge to walk onto the pier.
It opens at sun rise and there is no parking charge. There are several eating establishments within easy walking distance. It did really didn’t get crowded until after lunch. Our visit was in mid march. Beautiful white sand.

Love this pier! Huge parking area, lots of food and activities all around and a gorgeous wide beachfront make this a top pier in Florida. We were there in the off-season and unfortunately the pier itself was closed to walk on due to repairs from a recent hurricane. So our experience is based on the location and surrounding beach area.

While pricer than I expected (like $2.50 a person), the pass to walk the pier does last all day. It would be wise to go multiple times. The pier wasn't in the greatest condition considering the fees to walk i.e. big gaps between planks in some places. Overall it's still a great activity to do while in the area. Beautiful views. We saw a school of fish with 8-12 sharks trying to get a meal!

inexpensive to walk the pier, rent a fishing rod, and buy bait. Beautiful view from the pier and great way to watch the sunset. Saw red fish, shark and a sea turtle during a couple hours.

We enjoyed our time on the pier today! We were “killing time” before our flight later that day. The view was lovely and the water was beautiful! We viewed many fishermen trying to catch something. We saw a stingray swimming below. We also watched Lifeguards in training. It was a very nice walk. There is a minimal cost to walk on it but it was worth it.

Don’t Miss the pier! It is a Pensacola Beach icon. Nice stroll even for the young at heart. You can hope to spy a dolphin jumping! Lots of people to watch here. Take time to enjoy the beauty of God’ earth!

Went to the pier after a long walk from our hotel and were told by the rude employee, after having to approach him about going onto the pier that we couldn't go onto the pier because we had no shoes on(walked on the beach so no need for shoes). I completely understand this rule, but this guy was a complete jerk about it and seemed to rejoice in this small power of his. We were later told by another business there that this guy is well known for being discourteous. He saw us standing in front of him for a few minutes with nobody else in line and still wouldn't acknowledge us and then was very dismissive of us when we attempted to do business with him.
We never did go back even though we passed by there a dozen or more times "with shoes on" as we refused to give our business to someone who obviously didn't want it. I know it was only a $1.25 but I wouldn't give that guy a dime of my money and would encourage the management to introduce this jerk to some customer sensitivity training.

We was there in March, we saw a few groups of college age kids but still wasn’t nothing like Panama City. The beaches was pretty much empty.

Can you hang hammocks under the pier on the posts?
Written 14 April 2018
When we were there many personal hammocks were hung under the pier. I didn't ask anyone but it appeared to be a first come first grab issue.
