Messing about on the Water

Great staff - friendly and fun. Had a bit of an incident as boat ran out of fuel, but some friendly folk towed us back in and the boss got very told off by his staff.

We pitched up just before low tide but the ferry man was very helpful at getting our two bikes and child carrier into the boat and over the river. Same for the trip back. Thanks again!

Took the kids kayaking on the Helford passage. £30 for 2 hours in my opinion represented good value and the kids loved it. You can park fairly close to this attraction but if the car park is full it's a steep walk down to the river area ( 10 minute walk). We took a picnic and sat on the small... More

A superb way to explore the Helford River - which feels like a different world - beautiful, tranquil and an escape from the summer crowds. We hired a couple of kayaks for an hour and got as far as Port Navas. There was a slight swell to the sea on a calm August day but this turned smooth once you... More

Excellent tour guide on our Princesca River Boat. Saw and heard about interesting historical places on our 1 hours long boat cruise. Staff were very courteous and looked after us very well.

Our family of 5 (2 teenagers, one 10 yr old) rented a motorboat to explore the Helford River for a couple of hours as a day-trip on our recent holiday in Cornwall. It is very beautiful and we had fun exploring the river and it's inlets. Frenchman's Creek was particularly lovely. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, also the instructions... More

The ferry operating between Helford Village to North Helford is a short but enjoyable ride, it is also a necessity to those who have to travel across routinely. Every year holiday makers embark on this picturesque crossing to enjoy both sides of the river. My many experiences of travelling on the ferry have been stress free and an opportunity to... More

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. One afternoon on kayaks and then one afternoon in a motorboat. Nature lovers will enjoy the bird life and anyone will enjoy the serene and enchanting atmosphere of the river and its' creeks. Good value for moneu, and a really enjoyable time.
