This is worth a detour. Simply fantastic.
Beautiful beach in a very nice location. Perfect for families and dogs. Good parking lot, short walk to the beach. All facilities are there. If you plan a day at the beach or just pop by for a quick hour this is the place.

    Hidden Gem
What a stunning beach. About two miles of it. Great dunes and it is proper clean sand. Hardly anyone there even in the height of the summer. With camping facilities, a good wee cafe, public toilets, and the Lunan House hotel and the excellent Imrie Bar and Grill just a few minutes walk away. This is a real hidden gem of a place.

    Stunning beach
Beautiful little gem hidden away. We stopped to visit the farm shop and took a walk. The beach has soft golden sand, perfect to enjoy. Lost one star as there are dog walkers of which there was dog mess left and not picked up in places and a few dog mess bags just dumped in places.

    Beautiful
This is honestly the loveliest of beaches. We never really head up to Angus but we’re really surprised at how lovely the area is. An quick walk from The car park over the dunes to the beach. We also noticed there is a camp site which we will be visiting next summer. There is also a nice cafe. Sea is shallow quite far out and water rates is excellent for having a paddle or a dip. There are also good walk in either directions.

Space, clean sand and amazing coastal views, including the ruins of Red Castle dating back to the early 14th Century .. tranquility and space to enjoy only a short distance from Montrose & Arbroath.

Take you own picnic and take in the atmosphere .. no other distractions, apart from the sands and extensive sands & seashore!
