This is a small museum but is packed with interesting facts and artefacts. If you are in Kinneil Estate, then this is a must visit. Currently, it opens daily at 12.30. The history of the area from Roman times to present is explained in an excellent manner.

Great little MUSEUM, very informative about Bo'Ness and Kinneil house, in a fantastic location where you can spend a lot of time here going round the Estate, Kinneil House is only open a few days a year. Definitely worth a visit.

Wanted to see as much as possible about the Antonine Wall on this trip to Scotland,and this little museum has some interesting information. Duty staff member, Lynda, was very helpful, especially with the video system, which had several fascinating subjects to watch. As we have come to learn, these small museums always have more to offer than one expects, especially as relates to local people and history. Kinneil is no exception, and is well worth a visit!…

Although small, this free museum has some interesting exhibitions on the history of Bo'ness, with sections on the Romans and the industries such as mining that made Bo'ness the town it is today. There are some unusual artefacts and there are displays on the local wildlife upstairs.…
