Informative museum
May 2019 • Couples
This is a small museum but is packed with interesting facts and artefacts. If you are in Kinneil Estate, then this is a must visit. Currently, it opens daily at 12.30. The history of the area from Roman times to present is explained in an excellent manner.

Great little museum

Great little MUSEUM, very informative about Bo'Ness and Kinneil house, in a fantastic location where you can spend a lot of time here going round the Estate, Kinneil House is only open a few days a year. Definitely worth a visit.

Interesting Little Museum
May 2018 • Couples
Wanted to see as much as possible about the Antonine Wall on this trip to Scotland, and this little museum has some interesting information. Duty staff member, Lynda, was very helpful, especially with the video system, which had several fascinating subjects to watch. As we have come to learn, these small museums always have more to offer than one expects, especially as relates to local people and history. Kinneil is no exception, and is well worth a visit!

Interesting museum
May 2017 • Solo
Although small, this free museum has some interesting exhibitions on the history of Bo'ness, with sections on the Romans and the industries such as mining that made Bo'ness the town it is today. There are some unusual artefacts and there are displays on the local wildlife upstairs.

Great museum
Dec 2014 • Solo
This little museum is enjoyable to look around and the staff are always friendly and chatty, and know the subject too. The history of Bo'ness is all here, way back and recent. The first time I visited I didn't have time to see it all, so I went back and spent a couple of hours there, checking out the details. Amazing! Highly recommended, either as part of a visit to Kinneil House or on its own.
