They have plenty to do for a few hours. There is an adventure park for children and adults, a chapel, a small museum, Pilates class, and coffee shows over priced. At the exit there is a restaurant (we didn’t try) and a small bar that didn’t impressed us much. If in the area I will probably return for the health benefits, besides that nothing else to make me go back.

Could be enjoyable with Kids or if you are attending on a cure. Otherwise is a waste of money to go there only for half or one hour.
There are some playgrounds for kids but only for extra money (50 Lei is the entrance, the playground for an hour around 80 lei )

Opened daily, from 8 to 16. Affordable prices for 5 or more entries, both for kids and adults.
Not so big versus other salt mines from Romania. Had the unique escalade park, terrific for kids and teenagers.
You can play badminton, table tennis or voleyball but you need to bring your own equipment. From Mo to Sat guided gym for 1 hour.
During weekends becomes crowdy even if buses are working every 15 minutes.
Available parking outside.
Signal is okish but is better to stay away from devices, inhale salty air and perform physic activity.
Various attractions for kids, prepare with enough money!

Very impressive! This is the third salt mine I’ve been to in Romania and I think it was my second favorite. They have lots of things for kids to do! Less for adults but it’s still impressive and I learned a lot. All of the things to read are written in Hungarian, Romanian, and English. They have a restaurant there that was good! Also, it’s not clearly marked, but opposite the restaurant is a stairway to an outlook and it was really neat. However, not at all wheelchair accessible. But most of Romania isn’t, so…

Was nice to visit but wasn’t much about the actual salt mine, was honestly just a huge underground playground for children. I think for the amount of time to travel there it wasn’t worth it for adults to visit. Perfect for kids since it was full of arcades and playgrounds but nothing for older people.

A place to heal your weak lungs .... with a temperature of 15.6 degree Celsius constant, and with a pure air, free of germs and bacteria, though maybe more than 600 people are down there. Wooden benches to sit everywhere, places to entartain kids and to buy a hot coffee ot tea.
The sand pit for the younger ones is amazing, but is salt not sand !!!
The free gymnastics session every morning around 11 makes the cure process even better with its breathing exercises. Badminton and table tennis are good practice to pass the time. There is also a small Orthodox church sculpted in the salt at the end of the mine.
150 steps to go down on the entry site and 150 steps to go up on the exit, not a bad exercise also.

I was a little leary of going underground that far just to see a working salt mine. But, I was pleasantly surprised, not what I expected. There is something for everyone down there. Form restaurant, shops, a church, bookstor, arcade for kids, amuzement park etc., it was amazing.
The only thing you must be aware of is after the bus lets you off, there are still alot of steps down to the mine, and again back up to the bus stop.
But, all in all I highly recommend seeing it, at least once.

The salt mine is a must see in Praid. It's very nice and spacious. There are buses which take you into the mine area and you also have to walk up and down some stairs which are quite steep. You can admire the salt formations, learn ore about the history of salt mining in the area, see the small chapel. There are also some shops inside. Worth spending some time there.

For nearly 2 years we tried everything and every doctor in UK, US and DK…all they could recommend is a steroid cream and said she might grow out of it.
After a 3 day (3hrs) a day visit to the salt mines, it went away (about a week later) and 6 months later, it has stayed away. She's had it since she was 6 months.
We were told to go 1x in spring and 1x in the fall. We are going.

"Salina Praid" is a really interesting place and such a pleasant way of spending a few hours. I've visited salt mines before and this one is just as nice as the others.
The fee is only 20 lei (4,5 euros) for adults and 12 lei (3 euros) for children. After you buy your ticket, you have to wait for the bus that takes you to the entrance of the mine, as you cannot drive there yourself. The bus arrives at set times only. When I visited it, these were the times it picked people up to drive them to the mine: 8.00, 8.30, 9.00, 9.30, 10.00, 10.30, 11.00, 11.20, 11.50, 12.20, 12.50, 13.20, 13.50, 14.20, 14.50, 15.20, 15.50. (The same applies when leaving the mine, the bus arrives at certain times: 11.10, 11.30, 12.00, 12.30, 13.00, 13.30, 14.00, 14.30, 15.00, 15.30, 16.00, 17.00) After spending about 2-3 minutes on the bus, you'll get off right at the entrance to the mine, where over 200 stairs will await you to guide you to the underground. Mind you, these stairs can be quite a bit challenging on the way out!
In the salt mine, you'll find the following:
-a few playgrounds (slides, seesaws, climbing frames)
-swings for both adults and children
-a large assault course (set on three levels for both children and adults with trained safety technicians that would explain the rules and set up your equipment and safety cord)
-a restaurant (it was being renovated when I visited the salt mine, but was told it will be opened shortly)
-a small church
-many tables and chairs all around the place
-plug sockets everywhere (really helpful if you want to bring your laptop, need to charge your phone, etc)
-two bouncy castles
-a snack shop
-a souvenir shop (with toys, souvenirs and, obviously, salt products)
-salt and wood sculptures
-a very small museum with a short history of the mine
All in all, a great experience for those who are visiting a salt mine for the first time and a beneficial way of spending a few hours for those who suffer off respiratory problems.

Hey, We plan to arrive PRAID afternoon. What are the opening hours of the site? How late the site is open?
What is the last time it is still possible to enter?
How long have parking arrangements, buying tickets, waiting in line?
Thanks
