Thank you very much for your comments, we unfortunately have to wait until it is dark enough to start the show. Thank you for this advice about the blankets. Indeed, it may be cold on the seats along the canal.

What a great location, on the Nantes Brest Canal is this not so little gem and a great setting to just chill and enjoy.

Took a solo trip to the abbey and got a tour. I found it to be very interesting, and the attached gift shop was quite good, if not a little expensive, but that's the be expected in France during the summer months. Worth a visit...More

Well worth a visit. Written description in most languages.In the evening in August and September there is a Light Show that is free to view screened across the face of the Abbey.

The history of this place is fascinating and it's setting is beautiful. We paid 5 euros entrance fee which included an audio guide which allowed us to explore the building, its grounds and special installations at our leisure whilst hearing about its journey through time...More
