We did not go into the Fort....from the parking lot we were able to explore well maintained sections of the wall.

This was a HUGE disappointment. We actually saw free ruins just down the road from Birdoswald that were better! Don't waste your money!

This does have a long stretch of wall and was unexpectedly remote. However it is under redevelopment so other than the fort remains there is not currently much else e.g. in terms of exhibits. There was an activity for children whilst we were on though....More
We were a bit disappointed that most of the site will be closed till late April 2018. On the other hand the volunteer who was dressed as a Roman soldier gave a spectacular performance with lots of interesting facts. We will visit again next summer...More
