We had a great visit here and met Alan and John who were really helpful. So much to learn about steel making. Lovely to be able to sit in the old works boardroom and see all the old photographs and records

I went on this tour in 2014 and being a former worker , I found myself remembering what it was like when I started working there in the early 1970's and seeing some of the old equipment I used eg. Monroe mechanical calculator.

Really helpful staff who were all ex steel workers and brought to life the many objects, photographs and documents. If you are doing family research related to the steel works then you must make a visit.
