We have decided to visit the capital in the morning and since we had plenty of time until our shuttle was leaving to the hotel we have decided to lose ourselves on the streets of St. John’s. The church is undr renovation and probably until...More

We were made very welcome visiting this beautiful church. The outside has seen better days but the inside has the most beautiful hardwood fittings inside and very well kept. Beautiful altars and stunning wooden interior. We visited the day before Remembrance Sunday and we're greeted...More

It is worth the walk or even better short taxi ride up the steep hill to where the Cathedral looms over the island. Even under construction/repair, and in very poor exterior condition; the interior is a beautiful, simple, and impressive. Watch your step. The roads...More

Was disappointed. Couldn't get into the cathedral and was a bit like a building site on the outside. Would have loved to have had a look inside.

No reason to pay for a tour you can go there on your own. Walked to right from the cruise port and can't wait to visit again.

Originally built in the 1600s,but in its third incarnation due to two previous earthquakes, this church has a visually arresting exterior an a unique interior. Its towers rise up commandingly as seen from the outside and the seating inside, with different sections facing in different...More
