This is the 'cruise ship tourist' area for shopping.. it was OK.

I won't say it was awful, it really wasn't... but it is the same thing that you see in the cruise ship area of anyplace in the Caribbean that you stop to shop. I will say that... read more

I won't say it was awful, it really wasn't... but it is the same thing that you see in the cruise ship area of anyplace in the Caribbean that you stop to shop. I will say that we looked a bit, and the one place I wandered a little that did interest me was full of tourists, and salespeople who... More

Ok so I've been to Heritage Quay shopping many many many times with an assortment of friends, this time was with my 18 year old daughter. She loves going into the swimwear shops & looking at make up which can be a bit draining to tell you the truth🙄However, all things considered St John's is a vibrant colourful city, filled... More

Unlike other similar sites, this one is actually open to the local public, although I don't think that many want to pay the "tourist" prices. But it certainly is convenient, and has the major shops that many passengers want to see -- Columbian Emeralds, Diamonds/Tanzanite International and the like. It is an outdoor mall. Many of the souvenir shops seem... More

This is touted as the main shopping area of the Island. Its the Cruise Ship Port so of course when the ships are in port it is a very bustling area.Plenty of stores, jewelry, clothing boutiques, etc. Some are a little pricey and others are in line. If you want to shop, then hit this area when the ships are... More

We heard various comments, but we were glad we went. It was nice to see the variety of stores and get up close to the cruise ships. Tourists and locals shop there, so it was nice to mingle with the locals. We only had a couple hours to spend there so just enough time to walk around, into a couple... More

Retail outlets firmly aimed at the cruise passengers, opening times tend to coincide with arrivals, if you are staying on the island you get better deals elsewhere although not all the merchandise may be available. Seen bigger shopping on others e.g. St Kitts and Grenada which has a fine market close by, but for souvenirs its fine. Obviously busy when... More

This is not an especially attractive part of St John's and is located right alongside the main cruise ship terminal. But, if your main focus is duty-free shopping, then you probably can't go wrong but head here; although it is basically impossible to miss if you are a cruise ship passenger.

Interesting area and some nice old buildings but mainly for shopping - and the shops were generally not cheap. Bought a hat from a stall and a necklace from somebody selling at the side of the road, but didn't feel that tempted by the larger establishments. Some good cafes down by the water.

We have seen better cruise ship port stops. This one is pretty modern and has the standard duty free shops and some restaurants. Not really a pretty area, we much preferred the adjacent Quay Redcliffe Quay. We were staying on the Island though, so not interested in Duty Free Shopping, just wandered down to see the waterfront. The boardwalk is... More

Heritage Quay is well worth a visit. There are some lovely designer shops selling clothing, jewelry, alcohol, perfumes and cosmetics all the best known brands alongside local souvenirs, arts & crafts. This is duty free shopping but goodness me the prices have gone through the roof! We used to visit in previous years and buy some great local, unusual rums... More
