- l0ishendrick1 contributionAmazing Time At Nicoles Tablefirst of all i have to say Nicole was fabulous and made us feel very welcome in here own home, the views were spectacular, we did cooking with rum, I didn't realise how nice the food was going to be, the whole experience was great, we all got stuck right in, and the best part we got to eat it all. we also got to taste all different rums that was a laugh as I'm not a good drinker but actually learnt a lot. if anyone is thinking of doing this I would 100 percent recommend amazing hospitality great food and spectacular viewsI think we know who you are although we can't tell by your name. Adam is still chuckling and saying that you were a champ despite the fact that rum wasn't your thing. That said, we deeply appreciate the review and 100% recommendation and hope to see you again. - Robert MAncaster, Canada41 contributionsTop Notch! What a great experience! We went on a cruise to get away from cooking … and cleaning … and, what did we do? We went to Nicole’s Kitchen and took an incredible three hour cooking class from ‘Nix’ … with lots of conversation with Adam as well. Excellent pre-experience information (although the cab ride with not $12 - $15, but $20). We got back to the ship with 8 minutes to spare. Lots of FUN! Isn’t that what we want?! Excellent presentation and the final result was great. We will be joining a ZOOM cooking class with Nicole in the near future. Big feature - Nicole did the cleanup?!Thank you for the "Top Notch!" review Robert! We loved having you here and will love it if you join us in the cooking class. - Aniyah PBrooklyn, New York1 contributionNicole’s Table made my birthday! This was the highlight of my boyfriend and I’s Antigua trip. Nicole and Adam’s home is beautiful and inspirational. The view was stunning. They were inviting and accommodating. They opted to hold the class even though my boyfriend and I were the only students for the day(they were teaching the same class the next day but we had to leave for NY). We shared laughs and traded stories about our lives. I learned a lot about rum during Adam’s rum tasting and Nicole’s recipes were to die for. Nicole sent us off with slices of rum cake which I shared with family in New York and I’m getting requests to make it for Christmas! The sweet potato soup was heavenly and will be on the menu at least once a week. We are not big drinkers but the rum punch was so delicious we (over)indulged. We will come back to Antigua and take ALL of the classes!Thank you for the review Aniyah! It was great having you and Colin do the class with us and we hope that we get a chance to see the two of you again. Nicole was professional and friendly welcoming us and 6 other people into her home to help cook a lunch. The food was excellent. Her daughter ( her helper ) was very nice and her husband who did the rum tasting was very knowledgeable!! Also she was very accommodating with the time we had to be back on board our cruise ship!! - Nonquit1 contributionGreat hands-on Caribbean classWhen I travel I love to experience the local cuisine. Nicole's Table added another dimension to this experience. Participating in a fun hands-on cooking class gave me a better appreciation of Caribbean cooking and the ability to take it home to relive it. The class was fun, well organized and the setting overlooking St. Johns was spectacular. To top it off, an informative rum sampling mixed with good humor and local history makes Nicloe's Table a must do for anyone wanting to experience more of the Caribbean.Thank you for the review! I must say, Adam got a good laugh when he saw your name. The Nonquits were native to Tiverton, RI so he knows who you are, Clay. Thank you for coming and you need to come again. We had a great time and learned a lot. Chef Nicole was a charming hostess who made sure everyone had a good time helping her prepare a Caribbean feast. The venue was very special, with beautiful grounds and a spectacular view.

From the beginning, reserving this outing, Nicole's husband was extremely helpful with gathering information about getting a taxi to and from their home, which is up on a hill with a gorgeous view of the landscape and water. We were six in the class, and one had already taken Nicole's classes twice before, which is high recommendation in itself. With Nicole's very easygoing leadership, we measured, mixed, poured, and fried. Then while things were taken in and out of the oven, pureed, and prepared for presentation, Adam treated us to a tasting of six Caribbean rums. Our lunch was sumptuous and delicious. We ate on the huge veranda, got to know one another a little better, and enjoyed the views. Both Nicole and Adam are wonderful hosts and teachers, very easygoing. High marks for every aspect of this class.

Chef Nicole and her husband ,Adam, welcomed us into their home and treated us like members of their family. Our group of 18 worked as a team preparing the various pats of a large meal. We made jerk chicken, beans and rice, coconut chips, fried plantain, and coconut cream tarts. When preparation was finished, group members visited freely with each other, perhaps aided by the wonderful rum punch. Soon we were all sitting around large tables enjoying the fruits of our labor. The entire experience was so goo we would consider doing it again when we are in Antigua!

We absolutely loved everything about the cooking class with Nicole. It was a wonderful mix of hands on cooking, relaxing, and meeting new people. Her home is a beautiful setting for a cooking class! We participated in the "All About Jerk" class and the meal was amazing. I am a vegetarian and they were very accommodating with jerk tofu instead of chicken for me. We were so full that we couldn't eat dinner that evening! Thank you all SO, SO much for hosting us. Nicole, you have wonderful recipes. Adam, thank you for your quick email responses. Last but not least, we LOVE Petal!

Hey! Thanks for the review and thanks for giving Petal some recognition. She helps a lot by taking things off of me that would make the class less enjoyable if I had to do the work while running the class. Petal is fantastic.

I highly recommend visiting Nicole's Table if you're going to be in Antigua. It's a nice way to spend some time in a tranquil location with great views, to learn, and to enjoy cooking and eating good food.
Nicole and Adam really make you feel at home when you walk into their home. When I arrived at Nicole's Table, Nicole greeted me with a big warm welcome. I felt like I was a nephew that she hadn't seen in a long time, and from that greeting alone, I knew it was going to be a great afternoon with great vibes and great food. I arrived a little early, and while Nicole was taking care of a few things, I sat with Adam on their vibesy veranda and had a nice chat about all things life.
I enjoyed the very hands-on cooking component of this experience. It feels like you're learning from and cooking with a family member that holds the family's best recipes and wants to pass the throne to you. Nicole does a great job at instilling confidence in you along the way and making sure you take enough pride in the finished product that you'll decide to make the meal again when you get back home. We made a great meal and got to enjoy it while relaxing, being in conversation, and overlooking some great Caribbean views. It's an experience you really have to feel and remember in your heart.

On a recent visit to Antigua while on a cruise, my wife and I came across this option while looking for something fun and different to do while in port. We love cooking and enjoying and learning about local flavors so this seemed to be a great fit. We're glad we did. It was a busy day in port with 6 ships in that day, so to get to go somewhere away from the crowds with only 8 other guests turned out to be a wonderful added bonus,.
The classes are taught at Nicole and Adams beautiful home high on a hill overlooking the port and Caribbean Sea below. We spent several hours meeting new friends, enjoying Nicole's special rum punch and learning about the local flavors and how to prepare them. Nicole and Adam were very warm and welcoming and everyone was involved with the prep and cooking process of all of the wonderful, fresh foods we prepared. At the end we all sat down and enjoyed a family-style feast on their patio enjoying the stunning views and wonderful food.
This was the best excursion we experienced the entire week on our trip and look forward to returning to Antigua to stay a little longer and attend another class at Nicole's Table. If you are staying on the island or just in for a day and looking for something fun and different, we highly recommend visiting and enjoying a class.

I had been to Antigua before but I had never tried a cooking class. A group of six from our cruise spent several hours at Nicoles home preparing a multi course meal. Her home is a beautiful place situated with a view of some of the island and the sea. Nicole directed all our chopping and blending and provided her own recipe rum and punch to round out the visit. There was more to the recipes than expected but she provided detailed handouts to take home with us. After cooking we sat back and enjoyed the food, conversation, rum, and view.

My 19 year old son and I had a week's holiday in Antigua and decided to do a Caribbean cookery course as part of that. Having read a favourable review of Nicole's Table in the Sunday Times, we went ahead and booked and we were so glad we did - we loved every minute of it!
Nicole welcomed us to her beautiful home in the hills and she was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our group of 6 helped with food prep whilst sipping a delicious rum punch and we then sat outside on the porch (with stunning views) to enjoy it together. It was a wonderful day and one of the highlights of our week. Highly recommend!

Hi,
We are very interested in taking one of Nichole’s cooking classes but have a quick question re: water used for cooking and drinking. Noticed that website notes that water in home is collected in a cistern. Is this water filtered and potable for those prone to traveler’s tummy?
😊
Written 9 December 2019
Thank you for the question Jill. Yes, the water is potable and filtered. We've been filtering our water for over 12 years. The island offers desalinated water, but we built our cisterns so we could better control the quality of our water.
Hope this helps!

Hi. What classes do you have this week. We are in Antigua until Tuesday. Thanks!
Written 20 February 2019
Sorry! I missed this question the other day when I logged on to TripAvisor. That said, we have 4 different classes... All about Jerk, Cooking with Rum, Coordinating Curry, and From the Sea. Since we can only do one class/day, the first person who books gets to pick the class for the day.
When are coming to the island and which days would you like to do a class? I can let you know what's already on the calendar or if a day is free. Just message me here. Please also visit our website if you want to view information about the class and want to book. You can Google it under "Nicole's Table Antigua".
Thank you!

Would this be good for kids? We have a 10,15, and 17 year old coming with us.
Written 9 April 2018
Good evening. Sorry we missed this question earlier today. That said, we do get kids fairly often. Two classes are typically chosen when kids are involved... our All about Jerk class and our Coordinating Curry class. The jerk class is popular because most people have tried jerk foods at some point while the curry class gets points because we don't just teach how to make the curry, but also how to make roti, the unleavened bread that is commonly served with curried foods.
Does this help?
All the best,
Adam

Sorry for replying so late Anna. We didn't get a notice from TripAdvisor. Anyhow, the class runs for about 3-4 hours with the speed depending on the guests... some like to go faster while others like to take their time. If you are from a cruise ship, the time works out well with guests making it back to their cruise ship on time.
Hope this helps!

Most of our classes are US$110/person. For the class, you get the menu of recipes, the on-hands training, the food you prepare, the view, and the good company. :-) Is there a particular class that you are interested in taking?

Written 8 January 2016
Michelle-
We do not offer a shuttle service. Most people either attend via taxi or their own rented car. If you make a reservation, then we do provide directions and a map since it is not always that easy for someone to find their way to our home since not all roads have signs.
Hope your holiday is going well,

How can I get in touch to make a reservation?
Written 27 October 2015
In a previous response to your question, we tried to suggest that you go to our website URL to make a reservation, but TripAdvisor won't allow us to post the URL. We do not have a reservation system set up with TripAdvisor at this point (guess we have to do it now). We can easily be found if you look up our name on a search engine identifying us as in Antigua.
Thank you!
