- Robert BSaint Louis, Missouri180 contributionsRelax and EnjoyA wonderful spot for cruise port day excursion. We took a $20 taxi ride to near the Hyatt. We listened to other reviews and rented a couple of seasoned chairs with a large canopy for shade from Sandra at Marcel’s Watersport just south of the Hyatt. Nothing fancy but met our humble needs. Sandra was wonderful providing great advice for food and drinks nearby. We will definitely be back when we return to Aruba.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 January 2024
- Peter W11 contributionsEagle BeachPalm Beach and Eagle Beach are both beautiful beaches. If you don't mind getting sand blasted, then Eagle Beach is for you. Because of the trade winds there is a constant wind on Aruba. We are going to be in Aruba for the first 2 weeks in February. Looking for the sun and sand.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 January 2024
- worth_flying_forNashville, Tennessee90 contributionsFun beach but not our favorite.Came here as a beach day on our Virgin Voyage. We bought round trip tickets for the city buss for $5 and it took us about 15-20 minutes to get there. (take any of the number 10 busses) We got off at the Hilton and were able to walk thru the lobby to the beach. We asked staff where we could rent chairs and umbrellas and they directed us to a place right between the Hilton & The Riu next to De Pier. It was a great spot and at around 10am we were able to get umbrellas and chairs with great views of the water. ($60 for umbrella and chair $10 each) The pier has public restrooms, a restaurant that serves great shrimp tacos and a couple gift shops that was probably one of the nicer gift shops we saw. Like other reviewers mention it is very very windy here. I know this beach is highly rated as one of the best in the Caribbean and we were by no means disappointed in our day but I wouldn't call it my favorite beach either. The PROS are that it does have everything you want near by, food, restrooms, bars, water sports. The CONS are the high wind, lots of people, some waves due to all the boats going back and forth and everything being fairly expensive. The strip in Aruba was filled with very outdated tourist trap gift shops. From our group of 12s cruise we liked this island the least. We still had a fabulous time here, we just liked Curacao & St. Kitts more.Visited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 30 January 2024
- tom v21 contributionsNice if....I would rank palm beach 3rd behind Eagle and Baby. Its beautiful but if your not staying at one of the hotels which provides chairs then it is hard to not only get to the beach because of parking and also needing to go through a hotel to get to the beach. But also there is very limited space if you bring your own chairs. It wasnt worth all the effort for me. So we only went to the beach 2 times.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 April 2024
- JoDaBrantford, Canada1 contributionGreat day at Palm BeachOur first time at Palm beach and we had a great time! After a mediocre cruise excursion last year in Aruba we decided this year to just take a taxi from the cruise terminal to Palm Beach and are we ever glad we did. Taxi for 4 was $19. We were dropped off near the Hyatt where we met Sandra at Marcel’s Watersports on the beach. $5 per chair for the day and she also told us where to get happy hour deals, food deals and use facilities. Yes there were a lot of people, but it was far from crowded. Lots to do and it didn’t smell. Sandra also arranged for us to get a taxi back which was $5 per person. We will definitely be back.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 April 2024
- JanetteCourtenay, Canada2 contributionsBeautiful beach / friendly “staff”Amazing beach! We were well taken care of by Sandra at Marcel’s Watersports. My daughter got too close to the ropes in the water and was stung by jellyfish. Sandra was knowledgeable and happy to help out with the problem. * Definitely stay away from the ropes! *. Water and beach are clean, sand is beautiful, and aside from the ropes, never encountered any more jellyfish or had any other problems. Great place!!Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 18 April 2024
- TheTravelAddictionPittsburgh, Pennsylvania239 contributionsCalm beachThe beach is very clean and safe with cool soft sand and a nice breeze almost every day. The water is incredibly calm - almost no waves at all. It’s the typical pretty blue Caribbean water, although not necessarily the bluest or clearest in the Caribbean.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 May 2024

We visited Aruba for first time on cruise not impressed nice beach but overcrowded like being on a med beach in high season.Really expensive compared to every other Caribbean island totally commercialized more like Miami then Caribbean. I was looking forward to this island but will not be rushing back no Caribbean feel at all if you like your jungles concrete and want Wendy’s and Taco Bell and people packed like sardines on the beach your love palm beach if you want a Caribbean island experience this is not it (eagle beach better) this is the Caribbean in name only

We lived our few times during the week we relaxed on Palm Beach. Did a Dolphin Catamaran snorkeling tour, shopped, ate on the pier, saw the sunset and ate lunch at Passions. Plenty of places to get drinks or ice & water.

My first visit to Aruba and I visited Palm Beach. I was trying to windsurf at this location, but there were too many kitesurfers who didn't understand the etiquette of kiteboarding. Why are they also allowing them to teach right off the beach? Force them to teach at least a few hundred feet away from the beach so that the windsurfers can have some path to get back in or out. Even the beginner windsurfers were easy targets. There were numerous times where I also saw a windsurfer almost get hit by a kiter. It was like that game whack-a-mole. It'll only be some time before someone gets wrapped in kite line or get slammed by one of those kites.
The boat traffic was insane. Most without spotters.
There is also the problem with garbage on the beach. Vacationers and locals too lazy to pick up after themselves. Get your lazy butts off the beach chairs and clean up your garbage.
All in all the beach is good.

I thought this beach was awesome because you can walk up to any resort bar or restaurant. It is lively! The downside is all of the water-sports and although the water appears crystal blue and clear, it isn't so clear when you are actually in it. The seaweed is very annoying.

One of the best beaches in the world!! I’ve been to Aruba 3 times and it’s always an amazing time and keeps improving with each visit. Go to Bugalowe Beach Bar!! Gelatissamo for ice cream! Watersports with Coco or GeoWaterSports! I travel solo each time and make friends—no need to rent a car. Now you can rent scooters and bike locally, but you can walk the entire palm beach strip in 35 mins tops! If you like high end shopping, bring cash for the luxury stores at the mall—Louis Vuitton—tax free ! Nice selection of souvenir shopping as well. All of the restaurants and bars have been good. My favorite is sunset grille at the Hilton. Also check out Kadushi Juice Bar $6 all natural juices between the Hyatt and the Hilton resorts on the beach strip

This is the most visited beach in Aruba where the most important hotels are located. It has calm waters and sunsets are great as they are also on Eagle beach. It is the most expensive area of Aruba since here you will find the top restaurants and hotels. We did not spend too much time on Palm Beach because we enjoyed Arashi and Eagle Beach much more. We ate at Lola Taqueria when we visited Palm Beach. Due to the high number of tourists staying on Palm Beach it can get very crowded this is why we did not spend so much time here.

Beautiful and busy beach, if your looking for action and want to be with lots of people this is your beach. We only spent one day on this beach. I tend to like eagle beach better just cause it’s more chill. The all inclusive resorts are very busy. Lots of chair rentals. I don’t think it’s cool that chair rental people kick you out of the chair at 5/6pm when people want to watch the sunset and paid good money for the chairs. Very strong wind does give some sand blasting on the beach. The water is beautiful. Watch out for jelly fish, I saw a couple snorkeling and my husband heard a few people say there was jellyfish.
Great beach if you want action and people watching

Stayed at the Marriott Stellaris but walked up and down the beach several times. The waves are virtually nonexistent so you can float around or swim in the swim areas (which is most of it except where the boats come in to shore). Highly recommend bringing or purchasing a float to use in the water. All the high rise hotels are accessible by walking down the beach and it is not overcrowded, lots of people but so much space that it’s very enjoyable.

Attempted to make a day at the beach. Unfortunately we were forced to leave when the winds kicked up and we were getting blasted with sand. The umbrella rental was $25. There are lots of people at this beach because of the location. Parking was free. The waves were not really that big because the wind was coming from shore , blowing out. You might want to try another beach that isn’t so busy

It is the beach where Aruba's great hotels are located.
Each hotel puts up a tent for its guests and has a bar and restaurant service. The beach is calm with crystal clear waters and white sand. There are some speedboats that rent services to tourists, but they don't bother..
To the south it connects to Eagle Beach and to the north with the beach.de Hadicurari where there is Kitesurfing

Cruising to Aruba. I would like to visit Palm Beach. Would like to know if beach is calm, if very crowded, also would you recommend the bus or cab from cruise port and are they reasonable and can you get them right off ship? Thanks!
Written 15 November 2022
Hi! It is super clam, clear water and the beaches are typically not crowded at all. All the cabs offer the same pricing which is great! it doesn't matter which cab you choose. Most are independent drivers, although there are a few cab companies. Pricing for cabs are very reasonable. Be sure to hit up Moomba Restaurant right next to the Marriott. It's on the beach with great entertainment and the foos is always very good at a reasonable price. Enjoy - Aruba is our favorite vacation spot!

Written 3 October 2022
hi, are there luxury beach beds with service for rent? if so at which beach club?

Sounds wonderful. We are going in October 2022. Did you use a taxi to get to Palm Beach or a bus? Was there chairs and umbrellas available to rent?

Hello!. I went on a JetBlue vacation package that included airfare, hotel, and transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. I stayed at Playa Linda Beach & Resort, which is located on the beach between the Holiday Inn and Hyatt hotels. Playa Linda Beach & Resort has umbrellas and sun chairs on the beach for guests, but as I walked along Palm Beach I could see that there are places along Palm Beach, especially in those access points from the street, where they rent umbrellas and sun chairs, and even they has lockers and showers. I use taxis to go to the supermarket without any problems. There is a section on the Aruba government website where they indicate the taxis flat rates to and from different points in Aruba. In general they are not expensive and they are very accessible. The Palm Beach area is amazing. I hope you enjoy a lot!

We would like to stop along places on the way to and from baby Beach best way to do that?
Written 16 August 2022
Which resort has the best price to rent chairs for a day? Is there a part on this beach that is the least crowded?
Written 10 April 2020
Holiday .Inn has plenty of beach loungers for their guests no charge. . You can rent an umbrella for $30 bucks a day for some shade if needed. Palm beach is busy but still very easy to find a decent spot on the beach. I like the Holiday Inn property as there are plenty of bars around to quench your thirst.
