We are a family run outdoor activity centre based in the beautiful Cardigan Bay in West Wales. Since 1997, we have been bringing clients on amazing adventures. Activities include coasteering, kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, river tubing, stand up paddle-boarding (SUP), bushcraft, and archery. At Adventure Beyond we pride ourselves on fun, adventurous activities, tailored to all abilities. Whether you fancy an adrenaline fix, or a relaxed family day out, getting back to nature. We create bespoke adventures to suit you.

I have mild epilepsy (absences), which can exclude me from a lot of activities but Adventure Beyond ensured I felt safe and yet could still be involved. We paddle boarded up to the wildlife reserve which was wonderful to see and then still had time to play challenges on the boards which resulted in much falling in and laughter. Thank you AB

We went river tubing as a family of 4 and had such a great time. We were lucky that we were the only ones booked on and the weather couldn't have even better, not that it would have been any less fun in the rain. Our instructor Louie was superb. My son is 13 and has Autism and ADHD and can get quite anxious and also needs things explaining clearly and with plenty encouragement. Louie made sure he always felt safe and in control and was able to go at his own pace. Given there were only 4 of us we got through the rapids fairly quickly so we were given options of jumping off high rocks which was an extra bonus, some swimming down the rapids and then even had time to do the whole lot again. Many companies would finish early if you are a single family and complete things quickly but not this one. We definitely had value for money. I would highly recommend and we are already planning our next adventure with them!

Really easy to book our SUP experience and was especially pleased that they were flexible with our session as we had a later commitment which we needed to make sure we weren’t late for.
Shannon was our host for the 3 hrs SUP experience and we (my wife and I) were impressed with her focus on safety and making sure we had a good time. Plenty to see on a day when the weather was fantastic for SUP, warm and calm.
Would highly recommend.

We had a large group and were accomodated by friendly staff at short notice by calling in an extra guide just for us! Ricky guided us on the day and every member of our grp mentioned how good he was at keeping calm, instructing us when needed but also allowing us to stop anywhere we wanted or just canoe on ahead! Thank you so much for your patience and enthusiasm Ricky. We loved it.

We used Cardigan bay active for an afternoon session coasteering at Moylegrove. We had Jake as our instructor who was responsible for our family of 11 including the youngest being 10 years old and the eldest my dad who is 79 years old. We had an amazing time especially since none of us had done this activity before. We really enjoyed the beautiful coastline exploring a huge cave and making ‘penguin dives’ and ‘belly flops’. The highlight was the 8 metre jump that we all managed including my 79 year old dad who managed to wind himself, Jake was quickly on hand to help ensure he was safe. Great memories and stories that will not forget.

Fantastic morning with Amy at Moylegrove. She was really attentive to the needs of my nervous 10 year old while keeping it challenging for him and everyone else including me. It was exciting while at the same time I could see that the instructor was keeping safe. Some thrilling jumps and an inspiring swim through a 20m+ cave! Would recommend!

Surfing at Whitesands Bay-whole family had a great time. Ryan and Rosie were super helpful, good fun and great coaches.

A great morning was had coastereering, with Rosie and Ryan. Very knowledgeable about area and conditions, felt in very safe hands. Ryan called us the day before to see if we could make it earlier as it would be getting busy later on in the day, we would also be able to park a bit easier. With less groups around we would have the place to ourselves for a while! All was correct and myself and my 2 kids had a great time jumping off the old quarry buildings at the Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy. Would throughly recommend, great family day out. Only thing that would have made it 5 stars would have been a hut to change in!

Do you have activities suitable for children aged 10 and 12?

Yes we have a of session on that are suitable for the kids. All the holiday sessions are aimed at bigginner and families.
