My husband and I rented bicycles (called push bikes in Bermuda) and took the railway trail from near Elbow Beach to Gibbs Hill lighthouse. About 4 miles I think. It was an interesting adventure, but I don’t think I would do it again. We didn’t...More

We did this over several days by choosing a section to explore- started in Southampton by taking a bus along Middle Road to Gibbs Lighthouse, running up the steps (OK perhaps ‘running’ is an exaggeration) and then following the Trail Eastwards back to Hamilton. We...More

When my husband and I were on our way to the place we were staying, there was surprisingly traffic, which is uncommon in Bermuda. Our Taxi driver drive us through the trails. It was nice for a car ride, but wouldn't say it's worth walking...More

While my husband and I love old railroads, I think this was a wise conversion, and very well done. The roads in Bermuda really cannot support both bikes and cars. Two caveats. Bermuda may look small on a map, but it is emphatically not. Full...More

We attempted this on foot in two parts. Yesterday we walked the western part from Somerset to Paget. About 10 miles. The trail, based on the former Bermuda railway line, was reasonablly easy to walk but I was pleased we hadn’t attempted it on bicycles....More

The trail has bits and pieces all over the island not fully comnected. We walked a portion in Warwick which has no ocean views but was fairly quiet. Except for the bits that turned into roads.

We had hoped to bike on the Railway Trail and thanks to Trip Advisor we wisely decided to walk. It is not suitable for biking and there are stairs and gated fences. We found it easily enough starting at Elbow Beach. We walked to Lighthouse...More

The railway trail is the place to go for a stroll, run or bike ride. Mostly flat but with steps for the ups and downs this trail takes you along the archipelago via a shady, green, peaceful, wide path. You are never far from the...More

An old railway line that has been converted to a waterside trail. Not well used as I hiked alone it’s entire length, except for one bike rider. However, it has some nice surprises with views out over the ocean and with several sections with elevated...More

You will have to contact the vendor that you intend to rent the bicycle from. I walked it on my own. The trail runs almost the entire length of the island. Sections go along vehicular roads.

I booked the excursion myself online but The tour booth is right at the dock. There are two guides with you for the whole bike ride. You end at a cute little beach but are only there about 20 minutes.
