We stayed nearby on Pitts Bay Road and we loved our strolls to Front Street. So many quaint shops and restaurants and you can "feel" the history. Make sure to venture down the slightly hidden alleyways. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables for resting by the water. Great views!

    Always a pleasure to visit
This was our 6th time in Bermuda. We have always loved it here the people are always friendly and welcoming. Like everything it’s changed. Many of the stores on Front Street have changed and there is much more traffic than in the past. Still walkable and easy to get to by ferry from the Dockyard where the cruise ships now dock. Worth the visit to see the historic sites and shops.

Chatham House Cigars and Other Thoughts
Before arriving in Bermuda, everything I'd read made Front Street sound like the epicenter of Hamilton. Now, having been there, I feel like I can skip going back. Although the architecture and waterfront location make this an attractive place to visit, the crowds are a drawback and the shops are mostly tourist traps. The one store I really wanted to visit was a disappointment. I stopped into Chatham House Cigars, and at first thought I'd gone in the wrong place. It was less a cigar store and more a souvenir shop. They have some cigars against the back wall, but be warned that they're pretty overpriced. Cigars are for sale all over Bermuda, so you're better off looking for something away from the Front Street tourist hub.

This is the place to go in Hamilton, a very long walk along the waterfront where you will find lots of shopping and lots of eating and drinking. We looked for an art gallery here, but alas, it had closed. We had lunch. Lovely stroll.

If your on vacation staying in the many hotels or visiting on a cruise (as we were this trip), this is a must. Right on the water, many different shops to visit along with great restaurants. Traffic can't be difficult at times, so use the cross walks.

The last time I was here was in 1987, admittedly a long time ago, but everything feels so shabby, crowded and expensive. If I wanted to walk around looking at shops full of crap no one needs, I could just go to Myrtle Beach, which would also be way less expensive. You need a reservation to have a $23 sandwich at a local cafe, and a smoothie will set you back $12 (and it's mediocre).

Mediocre is how I describe pretty much everything this time around. It's so sad to me because the people are some of the nicest you'll ever meet, but I strongly suspect (based on the Marxist power-fisted painting of their current premier wearing a MASK on the side of a building in Front Street) their governance needs some work.

A great shopping and upscale feel in this area. Harry's Restaurant has some of the best food in Bermuda and a great bar to watch football. This area is definitely worth visiting!

Just my luck! The day we visited Hamilton was the day of Queen Elizabeth's funeral so almost every business was closed. We did finally find an Irish pub open and each enjoyed a pint there.

We have been to Hamilton many times over the years. This city has gone down hill. Front St once a charming and quaint area, is now over run with homeless. There were a few small British department stores, now all permanently closed. High end boutiques including Louis Vuitton all gone. Many restaurants also closed and shops vacant.

This street in Hamilton was adorable. I loved walking along here, with the water to one side and the colourful buildings on the other side. It was clean and felt very safe while we were here.
