About
Three hotels line this beach, making it popular with tourists; you might want to avoid this place if you're not into the Spring Break college kid party scene, which tends to crowd the beach during the Easter season.

    Perfect Beach without the crowds
If you are looking for a quiet beautiful beach this may be your spot. We took the number bus from Hamilton it is a long walk from the bus to the beach but the beach was glorious. Unlike Horsebay which was very crowded, bring your own chairs( towels and a picnic as there were no facilities but for relaxing it might be exactly what your are looking for,

    Best beach
We were on a cruise ship staying in port for 2 nights. We drove by Horse Shoe beach first but found it was crowded. We got to Elbow beach around 11 AM and it was deserted. $35 taxi ride from Dockyard. We left around 3 and there was still only a handful of people. The sand was like flour. The water was warm (84 F) and clear. I brought snorkel gear and was able to see coral and fish. I brought 2 chairs and an umbrella as there are no services there. At the top of the stairs there is a snack truck and a porta-potty. Bring water. There is a beach and tennis club for members only and there is the Elbow beach hotel which never re-opened after the pandemic....it does feel deserted over by the hotel. The problem we had was transportation back. The hitch app isn't great so I went to the top of the hill and was able to flag down a taxi in about 20 minutes. He was hesitant to take us as he thought that the bathing suits were wet. He put a rubber mat and some towels on the seat and all was good. It was a $15 cab ride to Horse shoe beach. I was told (after the fact) to pre-arrange with your taxi driver when to pick you up for a return trip. 3 hours is plenty of time here. I liked Elbow beach better than Horse Show Bay beach as there were less people.

A beautiful dystopian beach in Bermuda
This beach has been described as dystopian, and that fits. It is beautiful, largely unspoilt and can be pretty much deserted. There aren't any facilities besides a portable ladies' toilet at the top of the steps...but who cares! I've walked there from Hamilton twice - a trek, but worthwhile, and you see Paget Parish along the way. A great place to clear your mind at the end of a business trip.

    Stunning White Beach
We enjoyed a Christmas and New Year break in Bermuda, blessed with favorable weather. Experiencing Christmas at Elbow Beach, mingling with locals, made for unforgettable moments. Though the Atlantic water was chilly in December, it was bearable for those accustomed to swimming in the sea during the UK's spring and early summer. The temperature, ranging between 17 - 19 degrees, allowed us to spend the entire day at the beach, with a subtle weather change around midday. Elbow Beach, a lengthy white expanse, offers a picturesque walking trail connecting Warwick Long Beach and Horseshoe Beach for those seeking a leisurely stroll.

Mickey's Beach Bar has reopened on Elbow Beach for afternoon happy hour!
Had lunch at Lido's restaurant, went down to Elbow Beach and swam for a couple hours.... then we visited Mickey's Beach Bar for happy hour, which recently re-opened! They also have changing rooms open so you can switch into dry clothes after a swim on the beach. Enjoyed a fabulous cocktail with the beautiful views!

This is my favorite beach in Bermuda. We had a wonderful time walking along its pink sands. Definitely a must-visit if visiting the island.

A dystopian entry to what was once a 5* property (Elbow Beach Resort-now closed) is reminiscent of a now Hollywood movie set of abandoned buildings in The Night of The Living Dead. The once pristine beach is now peppered w/abandoned umbrellas and seaweed. Yes, it is much quieter than other public beaches but w/good reason. The waters are tougher than other beaches and there is certainly no facilities available to freshen up. The restaurant, Lidos remains open (not owned by the Saudi Prince) and offers beautiful views of the Atlantic from the tables. But these 5* reviews are really puzzling to me!

The views at Elbow Beach were amazing. The beach stretches for about a mile and the sand is very soft. The only complaint would be that there are no changing areas at the beach, and access can be a little hard. Overall, very beautiful beach.

This review is for the beach itself. It is a very large and beautiful beach. There are waves, but the water is not rough. This is the place to get away from other people. There are currently no amenities, which may explain why few people go there (at least in April when we were there). On either end of the beach, there are private clubs, but there was no place on the beach in April where we could buy water or anything else--you can't rent chairs or umbrellas at this time. At the entrance to the public beach, we saw one port-a-potty. It is easy to get down to this beach from South Road, where there is a bus stop. The signage for the Lido Group Restaurants on South Road is large, and it is easy to follow the signs from there to the Tribe Road that leads to the beach. There is a set of cement stairs to negotiate, but most people will be able to negotiate them. If you want an elegant lunch, you can go back up to South Road and down and down until you get to Lido. This is fine dining, not beach dining. The Portuguese man-o-war are a seasonal phenomenon, and you will find them all over on this side of the island. They were not there in early April.
