Beautiful white powder sand. Clear water. Small boats docked near by since it is a bay however they are out far enough not to bother. There are plenty of restaurants to grab something to eat or rent a chair and umbrella.

We were on the island for our cruise. We took a short taxi tide to Harbour Lights on Carlisle Bay. We arrived early enough to get chairs in the front row. We snorkeled from the beach and saw sea turtles and the ship wreck. If you just swim out where you see the tours go, it's easy enough to do... More

The sand is white, the water is clear! Watch out for EVERYONE trying to sell you things on the beach. It was so often that we joked that we were going to get a sign that said, "not interested" lol

If you are looking for a nice, quiet beach, this definitely is not the one for you. With restaurants, bars and hotels up and down the beach, it's rarely going to be quiet. Regardless, it's still a beautiful beach. And the snorkeling is worth every penny! You can swim with the turtles and exotic fish, and see a sunken ship!... More

This bay stretches from the outskirts of Bridgetown to Needham's Point where the Radisson and Hilton hotels are. Its about a mile long and if fine white sand and sea with small waves. The south end (away from town) it gets quieter. Beware - if the tide is high you might not be able to get past the restaurant which... More

This beach is fantastic with white sand & turquoise sea! The sand is usually quite firm & perfect for a walk from Bridgetown to the Hilton hotel! All along the beach are facilities for people off the cruise ships, umbrellas, beach chairs, buckets of beer & plenty of extremely good deals. Further along it is quieter & there is plenty... More

We spent a few hours on this beach and left disappointed. While the beach itself was very nice, the crowds really took away from the natural beauty. We arrived at lunchtime and the only available chairs with umbrellas were in the 8th row so we couldn't even see the water. We were approached by people trying to get us to... More

This is a beautiful white beach. While we were there the surf was too rough for snorkeling. Depending upon the number of cruise ships in port the beach can get quite crowded.

Great beach with many amenities. Swimming is wonderful and safe. There is a marine park with several wrecks that are good for snorkeling and great for shallow diving

At first I didn't see the draw for this beach when compared to some of the other beaches in Barbados. It seemed kinda pedestrian at first. I prefer Crane beach but with Carlisle the water is much more calm, you're closer to bars and stores and if your hotel is close by you've got great resources there. Even if you're... More
