This is a long beach that can be accessed roughly at midpoint where there is parking (free), washrooms, lockers (bring your own lock), beach chairs and umbrellas (Barbados$36 per day for 2 chairs and umbrella). Vendors with snacks. Lifeguard. Police showed up from time to time. Sand and water would be great for kids. Some shade under trees. Very clean.... More

Carlisle Bay is a great location for long beaches and clear, calm waters. Stretches from near the Radisson Hotel and Barbados Yacht Club, to near the Creenage/Bridgetown. Lots of anchored boats and visits by the catamarans for people to swim with the turtles. There is not a lot of available shade spots so, you pretty much have to rent chairs... More

A great large sandy beach only a few minutes from the cruise port. Easy and inexpensive to get to by taxi.

This place is paradise the sand is golden and the sea is so clear and warm with small fish swimming about. Beach was never crowded. Great place will return.

This is the largest open window to the sea on the island. Its two minutes drive from the capital Bridgetown. One mile of white sand with lots of activities perfect spot for both locals and visitors

I spent two weeks in Barbados in January 2017. We rented an airbnb for a more authentic experience. Loved travelling around on the buses especially the Reggae bus--very entertaining. We bought fresh fish from the market in Oistins and fresh veggies from locals at roadside stands. I was stopped one evening walking home by a local offering me fresh vegetables... More

This is my favourite big beach in the Caribbean. We have visited Harbour Lights five or six times and in our opinion itis unchanged since that first visit. It was busier this year than usual with quite a few boat trips moored offshore. The beach seating and parasols also appeared to be new and there were more than in previous... More

Beautiful and not crowded. Turtles can be seen often. Not many shadowy places but clear waters. Buzzy place but still spacious

This beautiful white sand beach is within walking distance of the cruise ship port in Bridgetown Barbados. There are a number of beach-front establishments that will rent you a chair and umbrella for a few dollars. Most have reasonably priced bars as well. Worth the walk or short cab ride.
