Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After our visit to Barbados Parliament we walked two blocks east where's this historic Cathedral.
It dates back to early 18 c when it was built from local limestone. It's a classic Anglican Church with a single central bell tower. The interiors are pretty modest, yet nice.
In the courtyard is a small cemetery with notable locals buried.

This cathedral is the first church we visited in Bridgetown. It is located in the center of the city. It is well kept and currently being restored. It has a very big pipe organ. A sign at the entrance briefly summarizes the story of this church build and damaged or even completely destroyed by hurricanes and the resilience of Barbados rebuilt it. Worth a visit for its importance and relevance.

While not the oldest church structure on the island, this beautiful old structure oozes history that dates back to the late 1600s. Check out the unique arched wood plank ceiling that mimics a boat hull and the baptismal font the dates from 1680. The old cemetery outside is intriguing but would be easier to explore with a visitor map of the plots and their ages, many of the marker stones are heavily weathered/worn down.

The building has potential but is in dire need of repair. Hopefully through the fundraising efforts things can progress and the cathedral can be restored to its former glory.

this church has been destroyed maybe three times and it have always been built back since it was built in 1665 and iit is built with coral stone in a simple classical style, but above all it is a place of worship and a very old building were tourist go to see it, since it was first had been under the distant jurisdiction of the Bishops of London

Large imposing structure with some highlights from a long time ago. Inside the church is very plain and speaks to the roots and current situation of Barbados. The priest was very friendly and welcomed us to his church and had us participate in the mass that was going on. All the parishioners welcomed us as well.

This church is incredibly old and very interesting down to the graves under the aisle inside of the church itself. Beautiful grounds with gigantic trees. It's a quick stop to see and very worth it. It's amazing how old it it.

We visited St. Michael's while on a 360 tour of the island. As a funeral director, I live for a beautiful cemetery with lots of history. This was one of the most beautiful views from this side of the island.
