As you walk the Malecon you see the lighthouse across the water. It is a very beautiful backdrop. You can only access it by taxi and going thru the tunnels. Once there you can walk around and see the lighthouse, the fort, the military memorabilia, and for $8cuc go in the fort to walk around the musuems and other sights.... More

It's close, easy to get to, great views day and night, perfect photo op. Leave early on your way to the firing of the cannon at the fort and ask your driver to stop there first.

Worth the cab ride up here to take pictures of Havana from here. They have some artists selling some stuff and a guy making I think pina coladas who had a big line so they must be good

We rode to the fort on the beach bus (5 cucs for an all-day pass) and spent most of the afternoon. A lot of the former barracks have been turned into museum rooms with displays of arms from cavemen to modern times, and some artifacts of Castro's revolution. Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos del Morro is a fortress guarding the entrance to Havana bay. The design was drawn up by the Italian engineer Juan Bautista Antonelli.
