You can get a perfect view of Havana when looking over. It would be the perfect place for a sunset photo. There is a little shop that sells rum and cigars.

I do not see how anyone could visit Havana and not visit El Morro. Although I had a rather hurried visit to the Castlillo, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Spanish word "morro" means rock and it can be seen clearly from the sea which is why the light house was built here. The tradition of "el canonize de las nueve"... More

The Morro offers a light show visit in the evening. It was good to see, if you have time. If not visit during the day and check out the fort.

Great views of Havana. Good exhibition around the colonial history and castles of cuba inside. We first took the boat across - but to the wrong place - on the other side of the estuary. Ended up taking a taxi through the tunnel. After the visit, some good places to eat below the castle, with excellent views of Havana.

I love historic landscapes, and this one really takes the cake. It has seen so much of the drastic changes in Cuba's history, from Spanish Rule, to Bautista regime and then Castro's revolution. If you get a chance go watch the cannon ceremony.

The El Morro castle and grounds have a romantic feeling with the night lights and the view of La Habana is beautiful with the city lights. There was a huge cruise ship in.It costs 8 cuc to enter and you can pay another 1 cuc to get a better view up higher at the castle but we headed straight to where... At 9pm there is a show; firing the canon as a sign of closing the city gates like they did in the old times. Nice show for the turists!
