Behind the convent of St Francisco De Asis. This is a train used by Presidents including once by Fidel Castro. You can take a tour of this apartment on the rails.

closed when we passed by. nice looking from the outside. stands out because one doesn't expect to see a train car sitting by itself on a main tourist street.

We really enjoyed touring the restored presidential rail carriage which is situated behind the Church of San Francisco. It was much bigger than I expected with a surprising number of rooms packed in. The friendly lady explained everything for us (mostly in Spanish) without rushing...More

The compartments for the servants look comfortable enough, but the one for the president and the separate one for his wife (or, who knows, mistress?) really are a cut above. Despite looking a little old –fashioned, OK, let’s be generous and call the look traditional,...More

This is the presidential carriage that was used by the Cuban President to travel to other countries. Considering it was used since mid 1910s until the revolution, it really is a palace on wheels with top of the line modern technology. The tour guide speaks...More

This is only one coach but well worth a visit. It shows how the important people used to travel around Cuba.
