This is a large area with many houses. Some in need of rehab and some rehabbed to their original grandeur. The plaza de la revolucion is here. An important area of Havana. Many classic cars/taxis are here.

Probably need to go back and spend more time here to learn more about the place, but I am sure its part of everyone's tour of Havana.
Vedado neighborhood is a great option if you want to discover a different Havana. Mostly residential, there are some very interesting places as the "Restaurante la Torre", with fantastic views from the city.
We visited Vedado / New Town while driving through Malecon or harbourfront, after walking around Old Havana. Building up on what our tour guide has mentioned in our previous stop over, we saw signs of opulence from the republic era, with rows of grand mansions...More
