Visited as a family with children 16 and 13. This museum has a beautiful courtyard and historic photos of Havana. The entrance fee of 3 CUC was reasonable. The uniforms from Spanish soldiers were interesting. Our guide gave us a very good tour which lasted...More

The collection was OK but the highlight was the building. It was CUC3 to enter - not a must see but could be a good way to see an old building.

Camiba Art had planned a visit to this museum based on the information they provide on their website. I have been to this place before and really enjoyed it. We got there and the place was closed. No notice, no nothing. If you are planning...More

The architecture was great. But the museum was not well maintained and the display was below average. Not much to see other than the building itself.

Lovely building and courtyard, almost deserted when we were there, except for the perfunctory State workers in every room who followed us about with no apparent purpose. Not a whole lot to see however.

Wonderful example of baroque architecture, the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales aka Governor’s Palace served as Spanish colonial headquarters until 1898, then it served as the center of U.S. military administration (1898-1902), then a Cuban president’s residence, and lastly City Hall. . There are little...More

The Museum of the City of Havana is worth visiting simply for the beautiful building its located in. It was the Governor's Palace before the Revolution. Its elegantly furnished with antiques and works of art. Honestly speaking I found it to be lacking historical city...More

Some reviewers suggest that they would have learned more with one of the guides - well, they obviously didn't see the guide that tried to attach herself to me. She barely spoke english, wasn't very helpful, and they seem to earn their extra fee by...More
